Vinzntonic 4th Gear December 10, 2015 Share December 10, 2015 Wah...12 years is a long time, i only drove for a year.... Anyway i have still been thinking about the fog light u mention and came to realize the different in colour was a little eye sore. I am clearing my leave soon and year end festive mood. Very tempted to do some upgrade...so i see how it goes. I not sure why they design the fog light colour to be different from main headlight unless it helps to make us see the road better. But this light did not help much during the recent downpour on the road at night. Very nice family event there.... Actually yellow fog lights help for dark roads, dosen't make your eyes tired, esp for NSW ↡ Advertisement

zeegi 1st Gear December 10, 2015 Share December 10, 2015 Hdb's no.1 car! Hardly see a black vezel on the road, did you go for coating services? Very shiny...just like your watch. Actually yellow fog lights help for dark roads, dosen't make your eyes tired, esp for NSW ok, I was expecting it to do more on a rainy day but the effect was not as good as expected. Ya, i treat is as a workout session as well. lol Especially when the young boss is supervising from behind, have to be a little more diligent than usual, nice shot. Especially when the young boss is supervising from behind, have to be a little more diligent than usual, nice shot. Fog lights as name implies really meant for situations like fog where cannot see even where is the side of the road and there is danger of going off lane or going off road. So meant to be used by a car crawling around in a fog to see where the road lane or road side is so that don't go off into the wrong side of the road or fall into a ditch/drain. Hence, most of the time, fog light is useless for normal usage in Singapore/Malaysia (and studies seem to show that most factory-provided fog lights also don't serve the real fog function well either). Ok, wrong expectation on FOG light, where we are talking more towards hazy/smoky situation not towards the direction of Flood lights during heavy downpour.... But i would say, so far after driving for a few weeks, i still quite happy and satisfy with their simple design and feature.

I think it is better to retain the original fog lights from the factory, I saw online someone's fog light have got water condensation after rain, maybe did not install properly. I was also very tempted to change the LED fog light, 6000K HID, and also sound proofing the car, but after that thinking no point to do all these upgrades. I think My S model is currently very good in terms of all the equipment.

You know what. When I bought my Audi A3, spec said got fog lights but to my surprise, the fog lights are in the tail light cluster. Maybe nowadays, HID/LED front lights are strong enough for most situations (except most extreme). Come to think of it fog lights at the back make more sense in urban environment since the normal tail lights may not be so visible under bad visibility. Maybe the tube rear lights like the hybrid, that would be my final icing on the cake.. Hardly see a black vezel on the road, did you go for coating services? I think mine got a minor scratch and i don't know how on earth did it get there...i will try to clean it tmr to confirm. And another one i am thinking is the Gold Honda logo, i saw this on youtube video for a vezel drive demo, quite cool. But i think in the next 1 year, these accessories should be quite easy found on car workshop. 2 months back maybe only 1 vezel per 15 cars. But for this month, i can easily see one on the road...
