zeegi 1st Gear December 6, 2015 Share December 6, 2015 Do you guys know if we have to wait for the blue color low temp indicator to go off before we can move off? It usually take about a minute for it to go off every morning when we start the car. ↡ Advertisement

I'm waiting..hehheh.. must see the pricing also la (and other factors like OMV and CEVS rebate) to see if it's worth the premum over the regular 1.5

If you see the owner manuals of different car models, they generally say ok to drive off but don't stress the engine with high acceleration until light goes off. tanhy2000 Clutched December 7, 2015 Share December 7, 2015 DO you guys release the hand brake to drive off?? Or with the Parking brake on, you just step on the accelerator to drive off??
zeegi 1st Gear December 7, 2015 Share December 7, 2015 If you see the owner manuals of different car models, they generally say ok to drive off but don't stress the engine with high acceleration until light goes off. I am quite slow driver anyway, so won't accelerate much. At certain point, I was tempt to switch off the econ mode to ramp the acceleration to feel if there is difference but given it is still less than 1K, don't push my luck too far. I thought shit, already seeing some error code at such a short period of time.
zeegi 1st Gear December 7, 2015 Share December 7, 2015 DO you guys release the hand brake to drive off?? Or with the Parking brake on, you just step on the accelerator to drive off?? There is 2 types of break, parking brake and brake hold(on traffic). For Parking brake, you definitely have release hand brake button, depress brake clutch, change to D before you go...if not the car will not even move. Unless you are talking about the brake hold, i have not try that yet as unless brake clutch at the traffic until i am more familiar with my driving. If i have read correctly, the manual says we can accelerate to release the brake hold...

I am talking about parking brake, I tried with parking brake on and press accelerator, the car will still move if I out to "Drive" Yes I tried the brake hold. To move off, just accelerate and off we go. :) I have turned off brake hold, cos I find it quite dangerous, especially at traffic lights, if I accidently press accelerator, the car will move forward and bang into other cars infront. Bro from P (with electronic parking brake ON) you then move gear lever to D, you can straight away drive off without having to realease the electronic parking brake. When you drive off you can see the red parking brake indicator on the display panel goes off too. :)

Under normal condition, you can either manually release the parking brake by pushing down the parking brake button or Automatically, just by pressing the gas pedal in Drive mode.
