like to ask mazda owners here:

for the infor-tainment ipad mounted on the dashboard, is there anyway to turn it off before I turn off the engine?

it seems that there is no way to switch the entertainment thingy off ....

any help will be appreciated...thanks!

Am i missing something? Did i mention can drive in P? How can you drive in P mode? :)

Not touching anything. Start car. move P to D can straight away drive off without having to manually turn off parking brake.

instead of at P release parking brake then move to D to drive off.

You did not miss anything nor did I said you are moving off in P. :)

It just never came across my mind with driving off with a P brake on with D as I have associate P brake and P gear always together. That's why I explain the sequence of how I would normally drive of.

OK man. :) there are always a few ways to go about for certain features. Which ever method one is comfortable or convenient with.

same goes for idle start/stop, brake hold, ctba - there are a couple of condition/s to be met in order for the feature to kick in and a few ways to get out of it.

I am still exploring and learning all the features available on our ride.and have to admit the car we drive today is not the same as 10 or 20 yrs ago.,

Enjoy your ride bro. :)

Is there a way to check VITAS status? Usually how long does the Vezel take to clear VITAS?

If you have the VITAS submission number you can call up LTA to find out.

Usually it will be from Port, then VETL test and finally VITAS. The whole process can take about 2 months. Assuming all the paperworks are in order and duty paid accordingly.

Bro from P (with electronic parking brake ON) you then move gear lever to D, you can straight away drive off without having to realease the electronic parking brake. When you drive off you can see the red parking brake indicator on the display panel goes off too. :)

Bro, now i know why it dosen't work for my side, cus Seatbelt never wear.. so it dosen't work.. haha normally i dun wear b4 i drive off..

and at traffic lights i only engage brake hold.. so never try the P.. thanks for the info

Hhah yes i have to agree with you, recently i drove a 1series, i was like.. wtf is dis an airplane? so many functions and button.. so complicating, i'm glad the Vezel has kept it slightly more simpler, although a few more options would be nice.. but getting it used to..

FYI i came from a 96 EK.. so yea cars were simpler and more awesome..

Yeah, I am very surprise the car is able to move off in this manner as I have try that today.Auto car works very differently....

I was driving a manual car all the way....that's why this way of moving off is something that i can't imagine.

I have discover something fantastic today i am not sure if most people are already using it but this cashless erp card is wonderful. There is no admin fee if we are using UOB credit card as of now.

So we don't need to bother so much next time if forgot to insert cashcard when near a gantry!

https://vcashcard.nets.com.sg/

I nearly sign up from motorpay where they are charging a $1 admin fee every month.... [smash]

Thanks Bro, so it seems we have to leave it as power on and just stop engine and get it to turn off.... A bit weird to see it work this way...

Also noticed 2 things about the istop:

1. With brake pedal depressed still, sometimes the engine restart although brake pedal not fully released. Seems a bit sensitive.

2. If never buckle up the seat belt, istop doesn't work.

You can off the display before powering down the car.

The iStop will auto start back the car if the a/c is set too low. The power not enough..

Wah...12 years is a long time, i only drove for a year....

Anyway i have still been thinking about the fog light u mention and came to realize the different in colour was a little eye sore.

I am clearing my leave soon and year end festive mood. Very tempted to do some upgrade...so i see how it goes. I not sure why they design the fog light colour to be different from main headlight unless it helps to make us see the road better. But this light did not help much during the recent downpour on the road at night.

Side skirt more for looks.

As for side steps...

What I expect for my sidestep: enhance overall look and for kids to step on.

What my sidestep really do: makes car wash easier...

Very nice family event there....
