Bro,

The facelifted models (New X / RS ) are not affected by this recall as they are manufactured after February 2016.

Quoted from the internet - The recalled vehicles were manufactured from August 2013 through February this year.

Not true, RS/X actually manufactured last year already.. just that we haven't got the shipments yet.. whether its manufactured after feb or not.. depends on Chassis number also.. RS AWD was out late last year..

Any idea how come Kah suddenly selling Vezel? Thought it was a domestic model only?

Think they are just trying to jump on the name bandwagon, like Hong Kong. The Vezels in Hong Kong has models named EX and LX. Still powered by the SOHC engine.

So that means it's still Thai made and specs but name change to Vezel only?

Should be. Was told by SE to go to Honda HK site to view the specs as we are getting the same thing.

Wah, this is interesting. The PIs will have to lower their prices to attract more customers.

If anyone needs to lower the price, it's KAH who should be doing it.

The specs ("improved" HR-V) that KAH is offering is still inferior in both pricing as well as hardware specs compared to the PI models..

1) Both versions of the HK "Vezels" still run on SOHC.

2) Only their "premium" models have curtain airbags, LED headlights, cruise control and it costs S$114K.

Even a normal Vezel S with all options maxed out shouldn't cost more than S$100K.

In short, KAH is just 换汤不换料 . Call it Vezel but everything else is still HR-V.

Quite a common practice for AD over here especially if the PI counterpart is selling very well.

Borneo is going to do the same thing by bringing in indo made sienta with inferior engine spec, they want to "mislead" buyers using same name as JDM models....

Put the gear in neutral, press the button once. Your engine will off, but the HU will remain on.

I suppose they need to test the brakes bah. Not very sure also...

Thanks LYC,it works. But later on when we want to off, still need to press the button twice after shifting to P. Is this the only way to off? Thanks.

During the change of the brake discs, they just remove the wheel and disc and just dangled the brake pad housing on the brake hose. I sound out to the mechanic and service manager, they say thats how they do it.

Driving dangerously at an excess of 80km/h on 50km/h roads without wearing seatbelt. They just floored and rammed the accelerators and jammed brakes almost throughout the drive. Shifting from drive to reverse when the car have not stopped fully etc. I doubt its the way to "test" our cars.  [mad]

New in this forum and currently driving a 6 month old Vezel too. Just to share my experience.

The brake hose are very tough. I change the disc & brake pads on my Civic VTI about 3 years ago. It was a DIY. I hang it like the picture you took too. I guess it is OK if they place it in that position gently and it does not move anymore. My DIY disc & pads lasted me 3 years (till her OCE expire), no issues. So you don't have to be too concern.

About acceleration & jammed brakes, I think they might be 'burning-in' your new disc & pads. I did that too after I replace my disc & brake. I did about 4 cycles during my burn-in process and had to do quick acceleration & braking. Thou' it is dangerous, but I thought my brakes work better after the burn-in.
