alphard96 6th Gear November 9, 2016 Share November 9, 2016 Yup, i would particularly caution against using the CMS (collision avoidance feature). My recent experience. Car in front sudden brake, my next lane was clear so i switched lane but the CMS feature also automatically applied heavy brakes as i switched lane. So much so that the car in the next lane that was initially far behind had to slow down a lot to avoid kissing my backside. Have switched off CMS since. Moral of my story - use sensing only if it assists and does not override driver's control and intent. if not mistaken, the vehicle automatically applies the E brake only for slow speed. Higher speed only warning/tense seat belt etc
Ara 1st Gear November 9, 2016 Share November 9, 2016 Thanks 7hm, but it is unusual to request for balance payment when the car has not even reached Singapore right? Am ok if it is like a week before collection. You are here and mentioned bought from AD. In my experience, KM won't ask you for the balance until it is 1-2 weeks before collecting your car. They need time to prepare the car, need your money to secure registration.

Bluedevilz3761 Neutral Newbie November 9, 2016 Share November 9, 2016 It will do the above first. But if it senses that the object/car infront is too near, they will bypass the warning/flashing and straight applies brakes for you. For the other bro incident, his front car may be too near, therefore Sensing just applies brakes immediately.Yes, Sensing will assess whether it is too fast or near and decide whether to just flash a warning (if it thinks it's not too dangerous) or apply breaks (if it thinks it's too dangerous). In the latter scenario, if the driver assesses differently or plans to take a different course of action, he may find that the car won't react in the way he wants it to be. Auron 2nd Gear November 9, 2016 Share November 9, 2016 Hi all, am a first time car buyer. Just being informed that coe secured by AD, is it usual practice that the balance payment is due only like one week before car collection? AD should be safe... go LTA check your name whether got COE or not... balance payment should be paid when the car is in singapore... they may still need sometimes to prep your car... thing like install solar film etc... Not much diff between HRV & Vezel, unless u want hybrid. Just go test drive at Kah, & buy from them too if u dont have the stomach for risk taking with PI. Anything extra u want on your car, u can mod for most of them
BlitzStryker 2nd Gear November 10, 2016 Share November 10, 2016 hi guys, newbie here, please help. Should i go Kah Motor if wanna view and test drive new Vezel? Or anywhere/anyone has any good lobang to test drive/buy this car, Thanks. GC PS: Whats the diff with all the S or X or G or RS ?? Hi Bro, AD is authorized dealer/distributor which is Kah Motors for Honda. In your case, it will be better to go for AD as PI needs buyer like us to do tonnes of homework to avoid being ripped off. G is the most basic, followed by X(most popular) than RS(top of the line, mostly cosmetic improvements like rims, glossy bumpers and etc). If I am not wrong, S has been stopped. SG Car Choice is a waste of time, talked to them for 2 weeks, they promised an agreed pricing for facelifted model with Honda Sensing, warranty and etc. Also contacted 2 of their staffs separately to cross reference what they offered if it's true. In the end, rushed down from West to East to find their roadshow, went to find the sale personnel that I have spoken to, straight tell me price does not include Sensing and facelift, asked me to top up. Kept asking me to top up this and that. Then gave tonnes of BS too.
m707067 Neutral Newbie November 10, 2016 Share November 10, 2016 Hi bro, I am thinking getting Vezel hybrid Z, any good and reliable recommended? Target to get car before CNY. Thanks
Des_k 1st Gear November 11, 2016 Share November 11, 2016 To all bro & sis that is going to buy be it HRV or Vezel, the best way to find what is a good offer price is to get to know the basic cost. Simply go to google and search "basic car cost Singapore". And u should find one motoring PDF file showing last mth registered car with all the break down. Of course, this is without the cost of local install stuff. This will help u to get in nego with AD and to know what is a correct price with less risk to secure a Vezel from PI. AD provide free service or 5 yrs warranty, they also want u to service at their workshop so they can earn $$ from there. Normally AD workshop are much higher in price comparing to outside workshop. IMHO, The possibility of claiming warranty in first 3 yrs are low. As for PI, the basic cost declared may not be the real basic cost to bring in due to OMV declaration. I believe most of us went for HRV because we want security. Big or reputable PIs advertise guarantee package with high price , other PIs advertise for non guarantee with low price. After spending so much time to get my hybrid Vezel, I realized that there is no cheap + no risk + less work package in market. Is either cheap with higher risk or expensive with low risk. But of course, I find that bidding my own COE is one of the best way to lower down risk which is what I did. At least less that 10k risk, only 5k DOwn payment risk. PIs alway wanted to get low COE for buyers in order to earn more, which their COE price prediction will never work in current market where ah gong and PH come into picture. If u don't mind a lot of works to be done then go for self import only on high end model like RS Hybrid. But will it worth that 5k to 10k saving ?
