  1. So somewhere between saturday night and today, I got this. I park at hdb carparks for work and home. This is in addition to two on my bonnet which I got maybe one year ago and maybe another 1-2 on the sides... There was another thread on this but I couldn't find the title anymore.
  2. A few thoughts came to mind. The govt say roof access not compromised but 5 chaps did went up and did their stuff. You mean spiderman do exist? They are 17 but have their pictures splashed over national media. Can meh? Last question. Why are they are botak?
  3. Recently been receiving threats on the public road I park my car. Thinking about installing a CCTV just in case. Any recommendations for any brand/camera/shop to do it? Would prefer that it does not require a DVR, discreet, SD card, clear at night without headlights (just street lights), wide angle. Some questions regarding in-car CCTVs in general, are they easily transferrable to another vehicle and what power sources are normally used? Would a cig socket cause an empty car batt if it recorded for 48hrs?
  4. Wow what a way to start the weekend for these poor owners. No idea what the boys in blue will do next.... http://singaporeseen.stomp.com.sg/stomp/sg...ok_carpark.html Paint was splashed on at least two cars parked at Blk 114a Bedok North and the culprit is still at large, says STOMPer sammy, who hopes that the vandal will be caught soon. The sender saw these two cars with paint deliberately splashed across their bonnets. A security camera should be installed at the carpark, he suggests. STOMPer sammy says: "I saw this at Blk 114a Bedok North Street 2, muti-storey carpark. "I wonder if the police will be able to catch the culprits behind this. "And I hope that HDB can consider installing cameras at the MSCP".
  5. STOMPer Adrian's car was vandalised by this man, not just once but three times in a row. Although the culprit was caught on camera the second and third times, he was not prosecuted. The vandal, who received a stern warning from the police, is no stranger to the STOMPer. They had earlier crossed paths when they were involved in a car accident whereby Adrian's car was damaged. The man, who was driving the car that hit Adrian's, was made to take full responsibility for the accident because he had lied in his insurance report. Unhappy that he had to take the blame, the man took revenge by repeatedly scratching the STOMPer's car and puncturing its tyres. His act of ruthlessness has left Adrian shocked. What is worse is that while vandals in high profile cases get sentenced to caning and jail time, the man who scratched Adrian's car is walking free despite the damages inflicted. Frustrated, STOMPer Adrian says: "I was involved in an accident in July 2009. The driver tried to drive away after hitting my car so I chased him and we exchanged details. "He lied in his insurance report, thus he was made 100% liable for this accident. "On January 16, my car was badly vandalised with all four tyres punctured. "On January 30, my car was again scratched with all four tires punctured. But this time, I caught him on camera. "On February 18, my car was again scratched with all four tires punctured. It was the same man. "In all three cases, police reports were made but in the end, the police decided to not prosecute the vandal but only give him a
  6. I received this 'present' on my 1 mth ride from some ba*tard last week... I posted somewhere but wanted some more feedbacks. [inline cb_present.jpg] I already managed to remove half of the scratch with polish (note: pic is before polish), now left only bout 8cm (initially bout 15cm) but the 8cm is the quite deep area... 1) Anyone here ever use touchup paint (or pen) on this kind of deep scratches (i tink by penknife or screwdriver) and managed to make it flawless? 2) Must this be respray? Some said touchup paint will do some said confirm need to respray whole door. 3) I also read bout getting touchup paint from my AD and using toothpick to fill the gap... Any advice? 4) Read bout respray which should cost 70-100 for this? But abit relunctant cos mine only a 1mth ride. Hopefully can see photos of after 'touchups' :) Thanks everyone!
  7. STOMPer Michelle sent in this picture of a vandalised car, seen at Hougang 373A carpark, with words written in spray paint all over it. This STOMPer says:
  8. Lexus and Toyota vandalised in the latest attacks in Laguna Park UGLY ACT: Corrosive liquid was thrown on a Lexus belonging to a Laguna Park resident who is against a collective sale of the estate. It may have been a vicious attempt to change his mind HUNGER for en-bloc dollars looks to have turned vicious at a quiet private estate in East Coast. On Tuesday night, two residents of the 530-unit Laguna Park estate discovered that their cars had been doused with a corrosive liquid, possibly paint thinner. They were among the residents who had not yet agreed to put the seaside development up for sale. Earlier this month, two other cars belonging to the dissenting group were also vandalised. Residents claim they were the latest of several cases of vandalism that began after the possibility of going en-bloc arose last December. The estate has until the end of this year to gather an 80 per cent vote to put it up for sale. But so far, residents say less than 65 per cent are onboard. Residents have been told by a property valuer that an average unit could be worth more than $2.1 million and the penthouses almost $4 million if the estate goes en-bloc. A resident said the market rate for a normal unit now is about $1.3 million. Some of the holdouts have lived in Laguna Park since it was built in 1977, while others have been there for many years. Some residents told The Straits Times they were surprised that the sale has fostered so much acrimony. Five cars have been vandalised in recent weeks, said the outgoing chairman of the condominium's management committee, Mr Chua SC, who declined to give his full name. Some vehicles were doused with a corrosive liquid while others were scratched and splashed with black paint. Police reports have been made and investigations are under way. An independent analyst said residents sometimes do strange things in the hopes of pushing through an en bloc sale. 'But resorting to criminal acts...this would be the first time,' said Mr Ku Swee Yong, Savills' director of marketing and business development. The vandalism could ultimately be a futile exercise with the cooling property market, said Mr Ku. 'It's a bit of a long shot in these market conditions to find buyers.' Laguna Park residents told The Straits Times yesterday that they believed the vehicle attacks were 'inside jobs' committed by people who support the en-bloc deal. [sweatdrop] If this proves true, Mr Chua thinks it is a 'very stupid, silly and naive way of trying to get people to sign'. 'I don't think this is the right way to do it,' said an agitated Mr Chua, who had the logo ripped off his Nissan about three weeks ago. Mr Robin Sng, a company director, owns one of the cars damaged on Tuesday night. The corrosive liquid ate away the paint on the bonnet, door and bumper of his four-year-old Lexus. 'I feel frightened,' he said. A brand new Toyota parked 50m away was also vandalised on the same night. A resident diligently went round the estate's dustbins and found a can of paint remover in a rubbish bin near the carpark. The can was taken away as evidence by the police, who are investigating the rash of vandalism. Mr Chua said he told residents at a recent annual general meeting that something had to be done about the cases. Residents earlier shot down the idea of installing surveillance cameras, he said. 'Now I suppose it has become urgent enough to reactivate the idea.'
