I just tried it once... Cannot get use to the fluctuating speed that is supposed to simulate natural breeze. :D

I just use the manual speed selector these days.

In fact this new so called natural modes are more irritating than those constant speeds ...... seems more of a gimmick or nuisance and unecessary extra confusing switches on remote

So KDK is highly recommended ? I will need to replace 3 of my fans soon.

I have an Elmark with LED, cannot make it. The light change color tone when the fan speed is changed, and after spinning for 15min, there will be literately no wind blowing at all though the blades are still spinning.

Two fo the KDK fans are making kind of irritating motor or grining noise.

Turbocharged

I have 1 56cm 4 blade kdk which spoiled in 4 years. But the smaller 3 blade kdk one is still working fine after 6 years with roughly same usage.

Sometimes it is just heng suay. I don't think the current kdk is same quality as those of yesteryear.

My small standing kdk still works fine after 30 over years. Lol.

So I just installed a 54cm acorn DC fan last week to replace the spoiled kdk. So far so good but still early days.

i did my own.......quite direct unless you buy the one with the led lights. But still can do as they will provide a schematic of the electrical. The hardest is installing the brackets...need to drill 2 holes for the anchor bolts. I installed 2 k15z and installed 1 for a friend. Bro Vratenza had posted of his diy experience in this thread......i even fabricated my own extension to use my old fan's bracket, more sturdy and strong.

have you planned how you going to buy 5 fans and bring them across the causeway?

When you buy the fans, ask the shop if they have someone to recommend you for installation in SG. Also, remember to buy 5 brackets from them cuz it doesn't come with the fan.

just my installation quote for your reference since you are getting a 3rd party installer. i paid $60 for 1 ceiling fan installation. Took around 30 to 40 min as need to re-drill the bolts.

Not sure if those electricians recommended by the Town Councils can do the job. Can check.

Thanks for your advice, i am thinking if they would do sell, deliver and install in SGP.

Buy 2 at a time to avoid GST or the hassle of having to pay for it.

They have people over here to install for you at your own cost.

true....ð¤£ð¤£ð¤£. Same like cars...some features not needed...bmw should just do away with their signal stalk....its obsolete.

you are solid! Respect.  my fans are all mounted below and flush with  false ceiling, meaning the bolts and actual fixtures are hidden behind the false ceiling .  Will need installer to help me.
