Living room haiku just stopped working.

Not many nice 56 inch options.

Think I will try the fanco huracan.

I just bought a few (real wooded blades) from TB at ridiculously low prices, even one outdoor splash proof one.

Why would u want real wood ones? Won't it take more energy to spin.

ABS is good man.

Haha I know. The fear of "it's too cheap. Something must be wrong".

Is it stop spinning or difficult to start up ?

If older AC fan, usually it's the capacitors problem. I changed mine on my Elmark. The capacitors leaked over time and become non functional.

If this is a DC fan, then I think maybe the PCB is spoiled.

I had another old Relite just running away for years 24/7. I left it on non-stop in my kitchen area, bcuz of the restrictive air movement there.

Tripped the rccb. Now cannot power up. It's a DC fan.

hmm... that sucks.

RCCB protects your wiring from earth leakage, short-circuit, overload. I think better change out the fan soon. 😞

I have no experience with DC fan, but imo, it's better to look for reputable Jap brands like KDK, Panasonic, Mitsubishi, etc.

One thing struck me, why KDK analog wall fan is much more expensive than the cheapo Chinese made fan is the quality. First, they use ball bearings for the motor, cheapo fans use cheaper sleeve bearings. KDK fans even have a pcb with what looks like high quality polypropylene capacitors. Cheaper fans just hang the components around the motor like a Christmas tree. 😄 These capacitors are likely not made to last, but they are simply dirt cheap.

Recently, I buy a few types of components. There are the regular components which costs 10x as much as a Chinese part. They may look the same, but wow, the price is a big difference. The cheaper parts likely don't last as long.

And in a DC fan (unlike AC fan), electronic components plays a major role. They are used to generate electrical power, which spins the motor, with the help of magnets. Now, if you start using cheap Chinese electronic parts, hmm.. I think they are not likely to last long. 😁

Well, just my thoughts.

KDK fans are good but they will also eventually fail (esp those standing fans - I have many). So work out your sums which make more economic sense.

Kdk ugly. Lol

And anecdotally their DC fans don't last super long. It's their AC Fans which are like 打不死的蟑螂。lol

Not all Chinese components are bad. You get what you pay for. There are good quality Chinese stuff too. I recently bought a cabinet from taobao. Was impressed. Much better quality than IKEA with MDF. Bloody heavy too. As the MDF used is dense.

Best selling local EV SUV in China. The L9 is very nice. Huge bugger. Have seen it in some of their old tiny underground  car parks.
