Most of these fans with inbuilt light kits emit light which is not very bright. These light kits use proprietary type LED lamps. The dealers tell me that we should only get KDK or Fanco technicians to change the lamps when they spoil. The dealers assure me that being LED, these lamps should last quite a while. However, when the time comes, can we DIY to change the lamps? Can we get suitable replacement LED lamps?

I replaced the Led light in a brand less old fan. As long as right size, easily replaced. It's like any other ceiling light.

 bo bian, weather too hot nowadays

if on the aircon 24/7, electrical bills very chor 😁

so whenever WFH, can on the ceiling fans instead

Changing the LED is not an issue. The problem is the driver, some fan like elmark the driver is built into the fan PCB together with the receiver. You will need to identify which component to replace and solder.

But this guy is a clown. Buy from Malaysia but want Singapore distributor to take responsibility and apologize. 

Buy cheap from Malaysia, go back and claim la.

Cat’s instinct and reaction really is 👍🏼.

At 5 sec mark, the cat already feel like something not right even before the fan exploded.

If want to get a cat...donch get a white one...especially a white one with black tail...run here run there...ended up at where it was...😂

Haha sounds like your fan’s about to take off! 😂 If it’s slowing down, probably time for a new one. You might want to check out Utilitech fan — they’ve got some compact, low-profile options that work well for low HDB ceilings and still give good airflow. Safe for raised hands too!

i just realised that Climate voucher can be used to buy ceiling fans, but must be DC ceiling fans.

I do have a few ceiling fans that maybe should be replaced at home...

Anyone is expert or knowledgeable on DC ceiling fans can give some advice:

- what brand more safe/reliable and long lasting?

- which one can blow air to bigger area below?

- which one has more fan speed to choose from?

- anyone got good recommendation of go where to get?
