Victor68 Turbocharged December 19, 2016 Share December 19, 2016 So far I have not considered VW but I read with amuse about all these problematic issues. VW are like toyota in Germany and consider their land against our tiny dot, I cannot imagine their cars fail so easily. Then in Germany, it can only drive around a small town? No logic leh. Was stuck in 4-hour causeway jam this weekend and just avoided the entire gearboxes issue by manual gear select. Stayed in 1st gear all the time, no problem. As many have said on the forum, manual mode solves the problems with dual clutch overheating in constant stop and go. Yes, as someone said: you don't have 4-hour creeping stop-n-go at 30 degrees plus in Germany so often. And actually I rarely encounter it in Singapore, only at causeway.
