Took a bus from Toa Payoh, bus 59 to Changi Village and cycled home from there. Dropped by Changi Bay Point and had lunch at East Coast on the way home.

Nice ride.

But how did you burn 1381 kcal doing just 38km? You must have put on weight. 😂

Still the same, 95kg. I am at almost the weight limit of the bicycle.

I cycle very very slow one. Enjoy the scenery and cycle. Not for everyone. Can be slower than those aunties.

I joined my almost 60 years old friend once and he cycled faster than me. Very tough for me to catch up with him.

So I usually cycle alone on weekdays mornings only.

I see. I'm also a slow rider leh.

If you want, next week I will be cycling from Labrador park to Pandan Reservoir and back. Either Tuesday or Thursday morning around 9+am. Its pavement all the way. Would be around 25 to 30km ride. Roughly 3hrs ride.

Will stop at a makan place on the way back, either eat there or tabao and eat at Labrador park. Also stop at West Coast Park and watch the ships there.

Free parking at Labrador Park.

Calories burnt is mainly due to time not distance.🤣

Thinking of getting a foldable bike...for running errands nearby, exercise and perhaps in future commuting to work since my workplace is about 5km from my home.

Any recommendations ? Must be able to fold into very compact to store in house and car. Also one that can provide a comfortable ride.

Thanks !

You can pick up a second hand one first. Now the covid hobby over le. Everyone is flying now. Sure will sell thier covid bike cheap cheap one.

Go get one and see if you like it anot. If you don't like, when you are selling, you will not make much losses.

My go-to will be Java or Dahon. Good folding mechanism, reliable quality. It might not look as good as brompton, but come on, who really watching you cycling right? hahaha.
