coming from a 3GS user then now Galaxy SII... i find iphone still better and will be switching back to iphone.

main reason is the color... I like photography and upload my photos to flickr.

when I compare the photo colors, SII colors are very unnatural and skin tones is yellowish. iphone colors are better and natural.

I am basically a iPhone 3G then to iPhone 4 now considering Samsung Note 2 that is out next month.. Went Singtel to test the iPhone 5 touch & feel it.. So far personal feel that is really light and thin.. Design wise no wow factor.. Of course is faster..

I have nv use android phone before hopefully after switching to it I will get use to it.. I still think iPhone is easier to use compare to android haha.. Now still got time thinking iPhone 5 or Note 2.. Because I be re-contract 3 phones at 1 go.. So now still got time to think..

why dont you contract both then see which one you prefer??

sell off the other one.

it is not just about the lens lah. It is the way they implement redundancy for the image sensors they use on the phone. Go google Pureview tech.

For the record it is 1.7mm thinner..... and whatever you want to say, it is only 4" screen (and you call it a "bonus") when non-apple users have already been enjoying 4.3" for past year or two and are now on 4.8".....apple is playing catch up....and that is the reason it is losing market share to samsung although not in Singapore due to the uniquely singaporean "hello kitty syndrome".

Actually I don't understand this "the bigger the screen, the better". I am pretty sure there is nothing stopping Apple from building a bigger screen, but they must have a good reason for not doing so. And I think it has to do with ergonomics. If you ask me, I prefer a screen that is not too big so that it is easy to hold and manage in my hands. After all, it is a phone, not a laptop so it has to be ergonomical enough to carry around and to bring it to my ears. In addition, it has to be easy for the thumb to reach all buttons with one hand for both males and females. Furthermore, a bigger phone with bigger screen has a larger risk of dropping.

If I want a big screen and use two hands to type, I will use a tablet or laptop.

And this is where I think Apple win fans over. They don't just build the fastest spec, the biggest screen, and so on, but they give you something that is comfortable to use, pleasing to the eye, and solid in reliability.

Look at fine dining.....you get little food on the plate but the quality and the design of the dish is top notch albeit expensive. And it is easy on the stomach. But some pple bash it because you pay so much and get so little food. They want as much food as possible for the price they pay even if it makes their stomach bloated. This group of pple will never appreciate fine dining just like some pple will never appreciate Apple products because they just want the biggest screen, the most features, etc for the price they pay.

BTW, I am no Apple fan boy. I have stocks in AAPL, Samsung and the company who make Samsung AMOLED screen. So I speak from a total consumer experience and not so much because I am a fan of Apple.

actually i think the longish 4" screen is still small compared to the other, but i appreciate the 'not so broad' width for better holding and smsing with one hand :D

Some people don't care about features or build quality instead choosing to buy it cos "cool" or they wanna portray themselves as the 'in'crowd.

Of course i don't mean the screen must be as big as possible until like a laptop. And i think samsung note at 5.5" is just abt at the limit.

Yes i know apple could make a bigger screen if they wanted but they are not and to me that's where they lose out. The parallel in the car world, the conti have started churning out small engined turbos. The koreans are following suit. But the japs simply refuse to. Its not that they can't but it somehow is not in their philosophy and you can see how they are losing out. For me the screen (like the turbo) is very functional - it enhances the user experience. Same as LED TVs, why large screen sizes are generally desireable? It enhances the viewing experience.

Bro...TV is a bad analogy la.....I mean you don't carry a TV around right?

For me, 5.5" is way too big. I can't type with one thumb on a 5.5" screen...not sure about you. And I think most females will have problem using one thumb on the S3. No point only men appreciate it but you lose out in the female market.

Ya I tink so too which is why I didn't buy the Note though it was quite well received. Anyway I will wait for Note 2 to come out and see how. They changed the aspect ratio to be a bit narrower and a bit longer. Might make it a bit easier to hold.

why do you say that? is bigger better? how do you decide what is too big and what is too small? ^_^

i think there are two types of user

1) practical-ist. This group wants more features packed into the same device as long as it don't get to the stage of being difficult to use.

2) feel-ist. this group values on the feel good factor.

i have to admit i belong to the first group. i prioritise using one phone for many function including usign it to surf web and watch videoon top of its function as a phone. and i don't want to carry a second device (tablet) just to fulfill the need to surf web and watch video on the go. i find the 4" screen sizes too small for web surf even though i don't suffer from presbyopia.

for the latter group, everything must feel good. including no bulge when the phone is in the pocket, never mind some inconvenieces or paying more. this group don't mind squinting their eyes or carry another device. but the main device msut feel good.

Easier to see lor....and easier to surf too...Wat is too big or too small I guess differs from person to person but if difficult to hold with one hand then to me that's too big. But I guess there are those who don't mind.

Cos easier to hold for those with not so large hands. I think that's why apple made the iPhone 5 taller than the 4 but same width.
