IPhone 5

Not to chip in for iPhone 5 but some thought on the iOS6.

Upgraded it OTA (Over-The-Air) on the day it was launched. Didn't have my Macbook Pro with me (on business trip, so only carry PC) so I just did a simple backup (I didn't authorize my company PC to retrieve the apps from my iPhone). Actually it was a risk since I don't know how well the upgrade will work since it's a major one.

1/2 hour later, everything was done and reboot.

Everything retains, plus tons of update from the App Store due to iOS6. Everything else works pretty flawlessly. The new Maps already started guiding me since it allows some cached map (without connecting to data) to be stored.

Been using the iOS6 Maps in 2 cities, the Maps works very good. The new color theme on the Maps is just like what Apple did best, beautifully matched.

The new Music theme/skin is very very nice too. Though some people will find it too "cold" (metalic feel).

I am having so much fun with the panorama feature on the camera, taken so much pictures with it (unfortunately iOS6 was not launched when I arrived in the first city)

All-in-all, I love the iOS6 pretty much. Best of all, all Apple devices get an update on the same day, you don't have to wait for your hardware manufacturer to custom (if they ever will) their own software for you to update.

Bro..sometimes need to use one hand la...especially if one is standing in the mrt or busses.

actually i dont have any problem using S3 with one hand at all.

somemore, for android, there is a kind of keyboard that is T9 in portrait and full size in landscape automatically.

i always feel that full size keyboard in portrait mode, all the keys are packed together. it is worse when the screen is too small. like iphone.

I get my OS updates as soon as Google pushes it out [sly] and I can't get iOS6 on one of my ipads

As I've said in other places. iOS is about being happy because you don't know what you're missing out on [laugh]

Here's an Apple fanboy's take on iOS6

If by "missing out" means no need to face poorly develop Android apps or apps that crashes on you all the time, then I don't mind "missing out"

Personally iphone is good

But I am a whore for big screen. So its S3 for me

Ya i also screen size whore. But the thing is i don't like S3's rounded corners and i prefer Sense UI (HTC) than Touchwiz....so although mu one X battery sucks and wifi reception is poor i still soldier on with it and resist changing....how is S3's battery life?

seriously, i think you are jealous because of iphone 5.

if not, i dont know why you keep coming to iphone thread to say how superior Andriod phone is.

grow up, get a life, this is only a phone. <_<

very childish statement..... if most of us criticise of PAP, then are we jealous we are not elected to be a MP, minister or a PM?

my boss told me yesterday he recontract with starhub during lunchtime, queue time is only 1 hour!!!!! [bounce1][bounce1][bounce1]

Yep, there was a article that said what tim cook lack in flair (compared to Steve Jobs) he makes up for it in supply chain. Impressed that this time round, don't seem to have "out of stock" situation as with past iphones where after those who pre-ordered got theirs, there were none left for others. This time there is enough stocks for all who want it.

They're actually about the same. Other than mobile safari I haven't had any app crash on me for the longest time.

That would be the telco's and this guy called Nik at Apple Singapore. They handled the volume for us. Other than that, the iphone is sold out citing supply constraints again.
