I was iphone user, holding a Iphone 4 (free from my co) but decided to buy a android (galaxy note) so I can watch my programs clearly.. bigger mah.

 

Kinda regret, bear in mind, the transition from Iphone to Galaxy is not smooth.

The migration of numbers, is a little troublesome, use google.. but I manage to fix this but not after going through some help at Android forums.

 

Also, a few paid for apps on my android, did not work, despite many complains, my note also always jams up suddenly.

Quite fustrating.

 

Exactly why my android tablet is now collecting dust at home.

 

Some apps that I downloaded either never work as well as the apple ones or it just crashed on me. And I don't even use many apps. I don't even have games. My apps are mostly from the big news media like CNN, CNBC, etc. I cannot imagine if I go into games.

 

But that's the Android Honeycomb time. Maybe they have sorted it out now.

i dont think so. its cos apple does a lot of vetting on the apps submitted to make sure dont have bugs la, features work as advertised. (they can make mistakes, but for the most part, the QC quite good)

 

android however .. is a cowboy town... u can write anything, upload and get it approved quickly cos they dont do much checking ...

what i observe so far is most of the people will use two hands, two thumbs to do the sms not matter how small the screen is. for one hand, it is more on the T9 keyboard layout.

 

Bro..sometimes need to use one hand la...especially if one is standing in the mrt or busses.

you do know that before samsung go towards andriod, they are already supplying the chip right??

 

similar to before google go youtube, they already license the product.

 

so, contracted ended, time to move on.

Apple has a great buisness idea.

They appoint Samsung as the hardware vendor.

They appoint Google as the content provider...

 

... few months later, their trusted business partners gang up to supply direct competition product, using Apple's idea.

I prefer:

 

1)Fast in surfing net;

2)Best camera & video phone;

3)Long battery life/Standby time.

 

Which group does the above criteria belong to?

 

We can argue iphone5 or S3 is better until cow come home but 1 fact which nobody can deny is iphone have better resale value than all phones.

 

I will be getting an iphone5 tomorrow. Play with it for a mth or 2, and then sell it/trade in to get a Lumia 920 if I doesn't get use to it. Whose know, still can earn some cash out from it

You must mean not approving the Youtube app would have resulted in a revolt. They could have blocked it but didn't.

 

Maps they had no choice if they wanted navigation. Google Map's licencing doesn't allow for that. Without free nav to compete, they would be on the losing end.

 

Anyway I hope Apple can withstand the patent lawsuits backlash from the Android camp. The premtive attack on HTC's LTE patents to invalidate them is likely to fail (as noted by the presiding judge), and could result in their iDevices being banned, and Motorola's latest attack could cripple not just their idevice sales, but all their products with iMessage.

 

It is stated in their T & Cs to app developers that their apps must not "competing" to that of Apple's.

 

So the ball is in Apple's court whether they even allow Google Map to be in the app store now that Apple has their own Map.

On the note, the 1 click does not work, and you may have to copy and paste, which sucks as the copy paste function is not sensitive, it may not pick up the full number. So end up you need to use 2 hands to operate..

 

 

Dun get me start on the cut/copy & paste on android, it is as good as not having it
