today's (23/3/13) ST adverts show there are prices for new cars not seen for quite some time. so, likely, a good number will take up this weekend....

Elantra .... $88,999 ( since when below $90K? )

Suzuki Kizashi....$138,500 ( think a Daihatsu was this price for a long time )

Toyota Wish 1.8 .....$123, 988 ( popular car, getting close to $100K level )

Merz ..... get a E class and save $45K on COE ( tempting for many ?)

......also $$$$$$$ is still pleniful: A condo in Bartley sold 200 units in one day. Response so good sale was by ballot!

terms and conditions apply. read the fine print

Whatever happens, the rich are not affected. The rich buy their cars whatever the price and whenever they want. It is the peasants who are buying.

New condo launches usually use balloting as their mode of sale on launch day. Potential buyers would give blank cheques as an expression of their interest before the actual launch and on the launch day, they would get a Q number to select their choice unit. Balloting is more fair as everyone has an equal chance on the launch day.
