Will N Korea open war?

recent history shows that whenever NK threatens Sk it is actually asking SK to sit at the negotiation table n offer NK some form of help be it basic necessities or asking it to do some kind of trading. But that was under the previous management! Hope China can help to put the Fat Boy on a straight leash!

Wonder what if everyone ganged up and just ignore nk. Let fatty dance alone. After awhile he will have to stop. Cos he just can't keep talking to himself.

All the 3 giants - Russia, China and U.S. knows perfectly well the meaning of having DPRK in between them and U.S. influence and military presence in the pacific; and it has nothing to do with ideological difference of the cold war. It is for Singapore and the world's benefit that neither sides have absolute domination of the pacific region. The U.S. already has significant military presence unmatched by any other powers, in ROK, Japan, Guam, and to some extent of S.E. Asia and ROC. Henry Kissinger's book described in great detail the geopolitical considerations of both Korean War and Vietnam War, that still applies to this day. Singaporeans who are not lazy should read, and understand how great countries and small countries thrive or survive in this world.

if you notice, China and Russia have been very silent... think because they are also unhappy over US decision of sending their B-2 bombers into Korea airspace

China just had change of leaders, new president, new PM and cabinet. I dont think they want to get into a mess with a war. they will think of themselves. China now only look for economy growth, not a war. the new leaders want to have a good start in their political career.

True. China dun even want war with taiwan, so to war in NK with US is not to their interest. Its a pragmatic china these days, not like the past.

put it in another perspective...will china wants NK to fall and have another US ally to be its neighbour. NK will be gambling on that. To trade with a rival in highend technology is different from having yr rival sitting at yr doorstep!

China & Russia is very different from last time, last time cold war, now they only talk about COLD HARD CASH. A Korean war will no doubt affect the world economy and China definitely wouldn't want that. If China's economy fails, will be very jialat

A war will only benefit US economy - they manufacture and sell weapons.

Seoul is only 31miles away from NK. Why they want to build a capital so close to their greatest threat? If NK really attack, they can reach the capital within half a day.

Β

Not only that, NK short-range missile can even reach Seoul  that is why someone said must likely they will chiong for seoul, capture it then negotiate
