"It is almost certain that the flaperon is from a Boeing 777 aircraft. Our chief investigator here told me this," said Deputy Transport Minister Abdul Aziz Kaprawi. No trace has been found of Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370, a Boeing 777 which disappeared in March last year carrying 239 passengers and crew from the Malaysian capital, Kuala Lumpur, to Beijing, in what has become one of the greatest mysteries in aviation history. Mockngbrd Supersonic July 30, 2015 Share July 30, 2015 (edited) Might be right but still jumping the gun Boleh land style, without confirmation start to conclude and announce to media..... later need to flip prata again. http://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/asiapacific/almost-certain-plane/2017512.html KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's deputy transport minister said on Thursday (Jul 30) that it was "almost certain" that the debris that washed up on Reunion island in the southern Indian Ocean belongs to a Boeing 777 aircraft. No other 777 has been lost over the ocean, and the flaperon used on the 777’s wing is unique to the aircraft. http://www.wired.com/2015/07/tell-wreckage-really-mh370/ “When looking at something like this you have to be as objective and unbiased as possible,” says Gillespie. “You want it to be what you’re looking for, but you have to put that aside and look at the facts of the case and you have to make a judgment.” He would know—he and TIGHAR have spent decades investigating scraps of metal purported to have come from Amelia Earhart‘s lost Model 10 Electra. Inspectors will have to compare the flaperon’s structure with that of many different aircraft before they can be absolutely sure it came from MH370. There’s a good chance we’re looking at a totally different jet, Feith says. A Yemenia Airways Airbus A310 crashed in the ocean not far from Réunion in 2009, so “it could be part of that aircraft, or MH370, or some other wreckage from even some old airplane, who knows.” Edited July 30, 2015 by Mockngbrd
