why need to go to court? i think not the first time driver been fine base on public's video or photo.

I see. I think it is not just based on public video/photo. The offender could have likely admitted to the offence as well. So video/photo + offender confession = can summon.

What I mean go to court is when the offender die-die don't want to admit and wishes to fight the case. I think this has to be carried out in court. No?

haha.. don't bother. If TP doesn't deem this unsafe/dangerous and isn't proactive in using their resources in chasing him... not much we can do.

Yea... I spent about 30 mins zooming/peeking/peering into that damn video. No dice.

Only thing left to do for me is being careful of these fcks when I'm next at this junction.

Instead of figuring what is the licence plate number from your recording, next time, just "shout out" the licence plate number of the offender and then go back home to review the video recordings (assuming your in-car camera sound recording is activated). Even if you forget the make/model of the vehicle, you can easily retrieve the make/model with licence plate number from Onemotoring.

Taxi reversed into another taxi, then hit another one in accident

A taxi reversed into another cab, then hit a third taxi when the driver changed direction in a panic.

The accident happened near Block 105 in Jalan Bukit Merah on Friday (Oct 23) morning, causing traffic to slow.

The taxi driver was attempting to leave the carpark but the barrier failed to lift at the gantry, according to Chinese daily Lianhe Wanbao. He then decided to reverse and move forward again in order for the reader to detect his in-vehicle unit.

When a carpark attendant arrived to raise the barrier manually, the driver stepped on the accelerator, forgetting that he had left the gear in reverse. As a result, he hit another taxi that was behind him.

In a moment of panic, he changed gears and stepped on the accelerator again, this time lurching forward onto the main road, hitting a third taxi which overturned, said Lianhe Wanbao.

The vehicle subsequently crashed into the barrier in the middle of the road, landing against the traffic on the other side.

The driver of the third taxi, identified as Mr Lin by Lianhe Wanbao, sustained abrasions on his right arm. He appeared to be in shock when reporters arrived, staring at the shattered window of his cab, and his coins scattered around the road.

Police said they were notified of the accident at 9.01am. Investigations are ongoing.

One of the three lanes was closed because of the accident.

About an hour later, another traffic accident happened along the same road when a lorry driver hit a van in front of his vehicle while looking at the accident scene when he drove past.

No one was injured.

I watched the FB video, it's really ridiculous. What happened to that taxi driver? Not feeling well, or trying to run after reversing into the taxi, or maybe foot stuck on the accelerator pedal?

Also, that's the problem with Singaporeans, got accident must see see look look, end up making a huge slowdown at the accident scene. Now this lorry driver even caused another accident while looking, making the place even more congested.

This taxi driver must be permanently removed from the roads...reckless, dangerous, speeding and complacent... all hallmarks of taxi drivers....

The pedestrian was trying to cross the expressway, probably to get home. Don't ask why.  [confused]

Huh?  It's like RIGHT beside the overhead bridge - that even has a nice gentle ramp up and down.....(I know _ I take the bus from there) ...

And the centre divider there would be a heck of a climb to scale ---

Poor biker...

Yes exactly. I read the news the rider suffered severe head injuries. Can't seem to find the news article for you though.

There was a pause of about a few seconds before the blue lucy cab dashed off after gostaning into the yellow cab.

Wonder what happened during that few seconds...
