Retractable side mirror and keyless start are already consider high end features for altis. So I seriously think better dont pin so much hope, and most altis owner should know features r always something this car is lack off, not to mention this 3tick signal.la

The Altis is not that kind of car. It's possibly the world's most reliable car and you don't get that way by adding all kinds of features.

There are alternatives for that. An Astra with a similar price can offer such features.

Adding such a feature will require a major overhaul exercise bro ...

We're a unique market... and cost is primary... hence all cars sold here undergo severe cost cutting measures to keep the OMV down. And that means trimming some features the AD deems not so critical. Also what they can trim off depends on the kind of packages offered by Toyota. Some packages come with things like power wing mirrors but maybe not electronic parking brake. Borneo Motors probably doesn't have much say. Same as for Hyundai.

My own experience...pick up from 17" stock not as good as 16" stock rims....but no issue for me as i am not chiongster

Steering is light but acceptable for me and easy for my wife.

FC for me is about 13 to 14km per litre currently with 50 city 50 highway

Of course I have to say I enjoyed every drive I had with my car and it is to me, pure enjoyment as compared to my previous ride.

Not forgetting the group of close friends I made after getting this car. :)

I see. So you are driving the elegance model?

Was wondering if it is worth the extra money from standard model given that there isn't that much more equipment or features.

The price difference between Elegance and Standard is 6k. But Standard does not comes with leather seat and solar film, you may have to top up if you want these. For Standard, it comes with rear camera, auto head lights no keyless entery, no start engine button, no auto anti glare mirror, no gps, no auto rain sensor wiper, no auto ion aircon, no DRL, no HID lights, only 16 inch RIMS.

If you ask me whether worth it or not, I would say worth it because of the leather seats, solar film, 17 inch rims and higher OMV. Last time both Elegance and Standard only comes with 16 inch rims.

For your consideration....

Hi Bro Bquek, in my opinion, Toyota Altis is still the most reliable Jap car so far in terms of FC and performance and not forgetting services and parts are always available and not so expensive.  This is my 3rd Toyota car I've owned :)

For 6k, it's all worth it unless one is really on a budget. The costs of the items will outweigh the asking price.

The elegance version is the best buy. The reslae value also better.  I was lucky to get a free upgrade.

Toyota Altis Multimedia System Updates:

Any Brothers know how and where to download the lastest updates for the Multimedia System?

The car multimedia system instruction is to export the Authcode to a SD Card and go to iauto.com to download the update but in the iauto website the latest version available is version 01.07.0100 whereas my car system version shown as version 01.07.1100.  My car version is higher than the website version and therefore it cannot be downloaded. I don't know why?

Thanking you in advance.

What's the iautolink app for?

I happened to play with the car multimedia system trying to understand the features and found this info from the system.  It was telling you how to download the update package for the mutlimedia system.

You can see it from your system:  Go to Setting - System - About System Information; and there it tells you to import the Authcode to your SD Card and then Go to your PC to access the link: http://info.iauto.com to input the AuthCode so that you can download the update package to SD Card to update your car system.

Once you login to the iauto website, a full explanation and instruction are there.  But the problem I found was the update package from the website is lower than my car system version.

Have a nice day to ALL :)
