Not only 5000cc Range Rover, this 2000cc Japanese SUV also delivers 5km/l.

Guess which make and model. [sly]

5km/l! :a-confused:

That's a Nissan Qashqai 2.0

Horrible fuel consumption could be due to car not run in yet, as you can see, the mileage is only 4,660 km. [grin]

All SUVs regardless 7 seater or not, are Fuel Guzzlers ... That is why Trucks don't run on Petrol ...

If Fuel Efficiency and 3rd Row Seating is a Priority, then you can rule out SUVs ...

Got leh....the hybrid suvs....but must also think about hybrid battery issues...

Bro ... my sentiments exactly! Mazda have been coming out with nice 3's and 6's but their MPV's are dated!

I'd love to buy a new Mazda 8 or 5. Biante CMI

Yep... in the same boat as well... already have a 7-seater SUV... but kids have grown and it's time to go the MPV route [bigcry] ... should have considered family planning :a-bang:

As much as I don't want to get a Honda... looks like it'll be the Oddy for me... don't think S-Max is as big as the Oddy... the Ford size is more like a Grand Picasso right?

Now if only Mazda will update their old 8.

Hello everyone,

My car is going to expire in approximately one year and I thought that I should start narrowing down my search for that new/pre-loved car.

This is where I will enlist all of your collective wisdom in the search for that perfect car, please find my criteria as follows.

  1. Any age
  2. Prefers Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan and newer Kia vehicles but open to trying other brands
  3. Car type: SUV, or sporty-looking MPV, or better-still 7-seater SUV
  4. At least 2L for NA engines, no preference for Turbo; automatic transmission
  5. Rear air con
  6. Sunroof or Moonroof or Panoramic Roof
  7. Automatic headlights and/or wipers
  8. Keyless entry and/or start
  9. Spacious 2nd row and huge boot
  10. Automatic sliding doors (least important)

Appreciate your inputs and sharing, best is if you have first-hand experience! Would love to hear about the drive, fuel economy, reliability, and other pros and cons.

Thank you in advance! [laugh]

Neutral Newbie

Ever consider Citroen Grand Picasso 1.6A THP EAT? The auto gear and not the semi auto type. I think this model has just arrived in Singapore.

1.6A petrol turbo gives you 165 BHP, but the best thing about this car is the interior, and not forgetting the fuel consumption, which is not bad for a MPV. Road tax is cheaper.

You have to go down to test drive for yourself to appreciate.

I think "right now" Japanese car is still the best options as we take about "perfect car" in Singapore.

lets presume as maybe overall as a Singaporean.. most of us would prefer,

Especially for MPV

Cooler air-con

Good Fuel consumptions

Big Boot space

Less problematic

Easy to service anywhere.

Cheaper road tax

Spare part easy to get

:a-happy:

haha expanding assets [laugh] here's a video of that

I couldn't find the full video... made out like a spoof of an airplane disaster investigation... this is only a small part of that...

that's quite undesirable expanding assets... :) taken out of context... [laugh] entertaining enough by the way...
