  1. Anyone tried repairing it before? Which shops specialise at it? The track seems to be out of alignment on mine. It's not moving though it makes grinding sound.
  2. HI, thinking of adding a sunroof to my ride as i seldom turn on the aircon. And i dont like windin down the side windows. Was thinking if there is any shops in SG that does sunroof? Anyone got lobang? Thanks
  3. Hello everyone, My car is going to expire in approximately one year and I thought that I should start narrowing down my search for that new/pre-loved car. This is where I will enlist all of your collective wisdom in the search for that perfect car, please find my criteria as follows. Any age Prefers Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan and newer Kia vehicles but open to trying other brands Car type: SUV, or sporty-looking MPV, or better-still 7-seater SUV At least 2L for NA engines, no preference for Turbo; automatic transmission Rear air con Sunroof or Moonroof or Panoramic Roof Automatic headlights and/or wipers Keyless entry and/or start Spacious 2nd row and huge boot Automatic sliding doors (least important) Appreciate your inputs and sharing, best is if you have first-hand experience! Would love to hear about the drive, fuel economy, reliability, and other pros and cons. Thank you in advance!
  4. Im not sure if this is the right section to post this , but on the way home i saw this black Bmw X3 license plate SKJ 7034, he actually allowed the children to stick their heads out of the sunroof while the car was moving. I find this highly dangerous as can you begin to imagine what might happen if there was a need to make a emergency braking. Bad parenting indeed
  5. My apologies as I know that this post was made before. I've read thru them and have called shops like the sunroof guy, audio concepts etc but they are no longer doing it.These were the shops recommended by the other threads. I also realized that these threads were made in 2006/7 etc. That explains why most of the shops I called no longer do them. Would appreciate it if anyone knows any sunroof contacts, may I get them from you. Thank you very much Famy 83995999
  6. [extract] A fabulous feature of the new Hyundai Veloster is its one-and-a-half sized sunroof, which gives your head a little breathing room in the rakishly-shaped car. However, this feature has turned out to be a nightmare for certain owners as they experienced an earth-shattering phenomenon literally. The US National Highway Safety Administration (NHTSA) is conducting investigations over complaints on the Veloster
  7. 13,172 units of the 2012 model year Audi Q5 crossovers that were built between 21 June 2011 to 9 December 2011 are being recalled in the US due to a defective sunroof glass panel, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). "Some vehicles may be equipped with a front sunroof glass panel that is susceptible to breakage in extremely cold weather/temperature conditions," said NHTSA in its recall summary of the problem. "Should the sunroof's glass break while the vehicle is in use, the falling glass could cut and injure the driver or passengers. It could also distract the driver, increasing the risk of a crash." Audi first learnt about the problem from its dealers after a small number of vehicles came in during the 2011/2012 winter season with a broken panoramic sunroof. The company performed an analysis which indicated that very cold temperatures could increase the tensile stress, between the front sunroof glass panel and the frame, causing the glass to shatter. I believe this is caused by the contraction of the glass frame caused by the cold weather. Volkswagen Group of America said it is not aware of any claim of accident or injury caused by this issue in documentation filed with federal safety regulators. Audi dealers will replace the front sunroof glass panel free of charge. The recall is expected to begin on August 7.
  8. While browsing online I recently came across this contraption that supposedly adds a dash of style to the roof of any type of car (with a steel roof). I present to you the magnetic sunroof. This has to be at the top of the list of totally useless car accessories, just below the fake rear window wiper and the world famous 'Type-R' sticker. It comes in roll up form like a carpet. Or like tinting film. You take it out, unfurl it on the roof of your sunroof-less car and wallah! You have an instant sunroof without cutting a hole through the roof of your car. Now why in heaven's sake would anyone want to put something totally useless on one's car? It's not as if this is like a Road Runner cartoon where the road runner can actually run through a black hole painted on by Willy E Coyote. As if you can put your head through or tilt it up to let air in. It is totally useless. Sometimes people will try to do anything for a quick buck. Sometimes people will think that buying, installing or using such an accessory is actually good, useful, adds style, adds class, adds horsepower or makes the car look like a million dollars. "A vehicle just looks better with a sunroof" says one of these ads. I have to say that a vehicle looks better with a REAL sunroof. If you readers know of anyone using one of these, please, for the sake of all that's holy tell them to remove the item immediately from the roofs of their cars. I beg of you.

  15. Wonderful tyres you have, 12am along Hougang St 51 Left sweeper bend. did you noticed u went the wrong way too late or something? making an illegal U-turn at this time, thankfully there wasn't any cars around, and the two cabs opposite was at a safe distance from you. FYI: there's a carpark entrance less than 10 metres away from where you did your illegal u-turn over the divider kerb, for you to U-Turn PROPERLY. your undercarriage scuff plates are left at the Bus stop of Blk 537, one old man cycling on the road actually went to the divider and helped you picked up the mess. I Hope: your rims are fine, your drive shafts are not so badly broken, your exhaust repairs doesn't cost so much, and any damages to your car body which i cannot see from my room. Congrats to you: that was an beautiful overspeed entry towards the left sweeper, practice more throttle control, u'll get a perfect drift with FWD then. you managed to wake me up from my sleep, hope you remember to buy better tyres in the future. P.S: pls try again when there's more crowd next time, e.g 5-7pm. alot of people crossing that road. Map for your reference, in case it's your first time there. http://www.streetdirectory.com/asia_travel...level=6?216,357 From a sleepy resident.

Can current alarm system be reconfigured to detect intrusion or I've to use a seperate alarm system to detect the intrusion? Please advise me. Thank you. Regards,

Called regent motors and was told a new one cost above 1K because have to replace the whole sunroof as the rubber seal is fixed to it. Anyone has the same problem or has any ideas on how to fix this problem? DIY? Need HELP as it has been raining almost everyday.
