It happened quite some time ago so I can't remember the specifics to clearly except that it was a negative enough experience that made me never want to try GrabHitch again. There were problems with the pick-up, comfort as well as drop off. That's all I can say. I think Grab could have at least made them watch some videos of the Dos and Don'ts. He didn't even say Hi or Thank you, which made for an awkward ride. It's not really nice to pay for something and to leave with a bad taste in your mouth.

Seriously buy your own car la. U have driving licence? Want this want that.

 

Some riders also like to sit behind, keep quiet and play hp. So what can we do? Kick them out?

Take a normal taxi or PHV, problem solved.

 

Hitch is NOT meant to be an actual service, but a social thing. It's really down to your luck on what you get. One day you might hitch a car smelling like an ashtray, loud music and horrible singing from the driver, next day you may hitch a Ferrari driver who's bored and got nothing better to do.

Hitch is NOT meant to be an actual service, but a social thing. It's really down to your luck on what you get. One day you might hitch a car smelling like an ashtray, loud music and horrible singing from the driver, next day you may hitch a Ferrari driver who's bored and got nothing better to do.

This is true for taking grabhitch, all depends on the driver you meet, and there is no fixed rules and regulation that a grabhitch driver should behave and how they should treat the rider. I have took grabhitch many times, and so far so good and only 1-2 times encountered so called no good hitch drivers, like they prefer to take a much longer route to the destination, loud music in the car that almost deaf my ears. Lol.

This service meter start from how much ah?

Actually I was surprised it start from $3.90.

 

But the distance based fare is higher.

I have not booked limo cab before so I dunno.

 

but there have been times limo cabs and maxi cabs accepted by booking so I just pay regular Comfort fares.

Something like chrysler? Heard chrysler distance based fare is high, i remember my colleague who was back from business trip, took a chrysler back to his house in the west, think the fare was $50?!

last time queue for taxi at changi and allocated Chrysler, I would pass and wait for Comfort.

I personally think if a person has many expectation when taking taxi and PHV, the only way to solve the problem is to ownself drive if possible. Lol. Cause different people have different driving habits etc lo.

Chrysler at airport, dont think anyone would take if the person is a local. Only tourists and people who can claim taxi fare from company then would take a Chrysler. But my colleague who took the Chrysler commented that the car is comfortable and fast le, so much better than comfort taxi.

Yah next time grabhitch driver should go down and open the door for u while bow down at u

 

Kns pay peanut expect full service like taxi or phv? Count urself lucky u get a ride at such fare. U shud be the one greeting the hitch driver first. Maybe grab should ban cheapo and self entitled riders like u

I am just stating the fact, if u not happy with grabhitch dont take. Very simple, stop whining here and to the extent saying grabhitch driver earn more than full time lol. Ungrateful rider

Well, I have at least 5000 trips as a driver on Ryde, Uber and Grab so I know what I'm talking about.

 

And I do my maths very accurately, down to the cents in Microsoft Excel. During non peak period timings, when the fare between GrabHitch and GrabShare/JustGrab/GrabCar is not that much, GrabHitch drivers could end up making more. Moreover GrabHitch drivers can choose their trips and reject trips that are not subject to acceptance rate (AR) and cancellation rates (CR) restrictions. So they're not forced to pick up trips that are too far away or not that lucrative due
