Compared to Grabshare not normal grab.

Normal grab is at least $6 more.

Thatâs why I said he/she is cheapo amigo, belonging to the You Are Dreaming category.

Definitely cheapo.

Just curious, what is the difference between Grab Hitch with stacking and Grab share?

For me as a GH driver, I will inform the rider if there's another rider so he/she can cancel if he/she want to. Basically the rider will know beforehand. Plus not every driver like to stack coz a bit of planning required so sometimes you are the only rider.

Whereas I think for GS, sometimes the driver will get another call while you are in the car already then you have to share with another rider. This one I not sure, have to ask kb27 or yewheng or opel17.

Supersonic

Grabshare means sharing with other riders, when they are available and along the way.

Normally, after I picked up one Grabshare rider, on the way, I may get another pickup.

Max I get is 3 pickups, so far. Normally, it's about 2.

Last night I get one GS pickup at 313 Somerset, then I get another at Cuppage. Then the 3rd one comes in at 313 also.

So I end up picking up 1st and 3rd at 313 first, then 2nd at Cuppage last.

On a Heng day. I manage to get 3 hitch from Newton to tamp. Only once in the pass 1 yr.

1 lady in my offc building. 2 other lady in nearby but same building.

All I inform before hand.

All go tamp.

All ok to share.

Only once.

Usually I just hitch 1.

Well I think that even though its under Hitch category but still the drivers should exude some level of customer service because money still changes hands, its not free. And its not that much cheaper than GrabShare, in recent times its just 1-2 dollars cheaper. Much room for improvement in terms of how hitch drivers behave.

unfortunately Grabhitch drivers will not be as regulated as full fledge Grab drivers. i suggest you either Grabshare or Grab.

I am wondering, how come since I start drive with grab, I very seldom get grabshare. I had already completed 200plus trips close to 300 and I can count on my fingers on the number of grabshare trip I take. I also never cherry pick. Whatever jobs come I take. Whereas many got stories to tell about grabshare and I don't have, coz it's only 4 grabshare trip out of close to 300 trips completed. Weird.

Grabhitch is like your friend tompang-ing you somewhere and you pay back a small token for his efforts.

Do you expect your friend to be professional and all that? No right.

Just because money change hands doesn't mean you can demand this and that.

GrabHitch drivers don't pay for commercial Z10 insurance like normal car owners do PHV do. Their insurance costs are lower. If they bought the vehicle on a loan, the interest rate is lower. Thus mathematically speaking, they actually earn almost the same amount per trip as their GrabCar counterparts. Thus, they should at least attempt to provide a decent level of service.

Who cares if he or she pays less for insurance or the passenger is taking a hitch in a Ferrari or a Vios, the driver is just not doing it for a living. Period.

Having said that, everyone should be polite and cordial to each other, be it a Grab/ Hitch/ Uber/ Taxi driver/ passenger.

Anyway I am of the opinion that if they are not willing to be nice they should not sign up to drive for GrabHitch. If they want to behave haughtily like they don't need the money perhaps they should not accept the job in the first place. If they accept the job, then they should be more accommodating and understanding. Period.

It happened quite some time ago so I can't remember the specifics to clearly except that it was a negative enough experience that made me never want to try GrabHitch again. There were problems with the pick-up, comfort as well as drop off. That's all I can say. I think Grab could have at least made them watch some videos of the Dos and Don'ts. He didn't even say Hi or Thank you, which made for an awkward ride. It's not really nice to pay for something and to leave with a bad taste in your mouth.
