my thoughts on this saga...

 

- LHL might not want to have over elaborated commemoration of LKY but his kar kia overdid it

 

- LWL has gone too far by accusing her brother as dishonorable son in public

 

- this has become embarrassing for LHL (and Singapore) both domestically and internationally (Taiwan media has reported this already)

 

- it will hasten his leadership transfer to the next PM

 

- if he knows it, LKY will not want any commemoration nor his children quarrel in public (so both LHL and LWL will be wrong in the eyes of LKY)

 

- as for HJ and her monkey photo... childish and immature! as if the Lee family is not embarrassed enough

I doubt that is a real HJ's Facebook.

 

Most people who read the saga will likely to question on LWL mental state.

u forgot to add that LHL shouldnt have replied on his FB. Our country's PM has no idea of how to best handle his personal issues.

This saga may just be tip of the ice-berg.

 

Like many rich or super rich families, problems come when it is time to split the share of monies siblings from inheritance. I just hope they are able to do it discretely. Otherwise it will get ugly.

 

I understand that NO security system is secure and sooner or later a hacker will find a back-door. This is shown with the Panama Papers on the Super RIch. I dare not imagine what dirt may come out when other similar sensitive information comes out in the open. Just be prepared for a major shock when the time comes.

 

This saga also demonstrates a lot of bottled up frustration, pent up ambition and wide-eye opportunistic which our dear LKY had muzzled them during his time.  

 

Things already had happened in the past but if we re-visit them but their consequences does not bring our people or our country forward, or worse bring down our country then it is best to leave it.

 

In our troubled times, with the world uncertain economy we should be focus primarily on the well being of our citizens and health of our country's economy.

some like me will question LHL's mentality too.  His reply has created a saga when he had d chance to put flames out n take d issue offline. Instead he stoked flames by having an internet flame war.  Well done

That's true, but I guess they practice all along is to reply to every 'accusation', be it personal or party.

Leave the dishonorable son part alone.

She said LHL wanted to create a dynasty. That by itself by any public figure requires an official response. If spoken unofficially of course won't need to respond like this.

 

CNA actually hadn't reported any of the spat between her and ST. But when PMO released the statement, LL they reported liao.
