I think LHY is definitely on the side of LWL as evidenced by the fact that both of them sued the govt (who is the head of the govt?) a few months ago.

 

I think he will have to speak up sooner or later but for now, I think he is content to let his sister fight the fires on her own first.

 

 

how are we to know that LHL is not on their side of the suing???............He may just have to look at bigger picture and took the stand as head of state............not forgetting they sued the gov.............they did not sue the PM............there is a different................although LHL is the head of the gov.................he has not 100% free play also..................

some like me will question LHL's mentality too.  His reply has created a saga when he had d chance to put flames out n take d issue offline. Instead he stoked flames by having an internet flame war.  Well done

From the previous few and current SPH spats mentioned by LWL & LHY in public, it clearly shown the siblings are not in talking term.

I felt the "Dishonorable Son" allegation against own "Elder brother" is very serious and far too harsh even if it's been scolded in any commoner family.

Nothing could be more hurting from been scolded by own younger brother, sister or children with this shameful words in totally disrespect.

The familee saga may have something to do with their late father "last death wish" that have caused disagreement and argument within siblings and the "in-law" camps.

I'd seen and followed many strongly close bonded siblings broken up cases, I personally found majority causes are being fan by their spouse to break-up the "Blood & Water" flows.

It shows how mature in thoughts LWL is against her age and education...........yes LHL is a brother at home.................but he is also the PM of a nation..........that alone command respect to not fire domestic issue at him openly.........not unless she is preparing to enter politics against LHL............... 

 

yea plus she talks abt not worshipping lky, of cse she feels that coz shes his dotter mah n takes that for granted, but d common man never know many great heroes in their life time n therefore to revere a man that turned SG from a swamp to a rich country is natural for pple to see him as hero.

Why can't she just do her own thing and not meddling with how the country wants to commemorate her father's passing.

 

She should know that no matter what the old man wishes, being the founding prime minister and all the work that he had done over the past 50 years, LKY can never have a private life be it alive or after his passing.

 

Imagine if we, as a country, just let the anniversary past as just any ordinary day, you think what the mass media of the world will say. It will be a PR disaster as a country.

 

Personally, I find the commemoration ceremony all over the island simple and solemn. Don't understand what's the problem?
