Quick question to owners of the Harrier Turbo.

 

- Can BM spec the car with Apple Carplay/Android Auto head unit?

- If not, is there any after market option?

- Does this affect the BM warranty?

Hi Nethdale,

 

Same like your case ..just rebuilt cos say no new improved version and better this way .. loads of bull to save $ but cannnot fight since no clause to rebuild or replace.

 

Din ask FIL but guess warranty per thr same 3 yrs dateline which is a few month more .. at the least, it failed during warranty.

 

Btw, FIL is 84 yrs old and no wannabe chiongster in his 30k+ km mileage but he does not drive slow .. probably faster than my CO.

Thanks for the reply. It seems like your FIL's car is pretty new?  Mine is already out of warranty period and coming to 4 years old when the stupid issue surfaced. Mind sharing the name of his workshop? Mine is MBM.  I just want to ascertain that they just don't BS me despite I am unable to do anything now. Thanks.

Hi Richard and Freeder. I am glad someone else brought up their Harrier Torque Converter problem as well... I am sorry to hear all these inconvenience caused. Such an unreliable car?  Hope more drivers who had the similar Torque Converter problem and had get it fixed at other workshops to come here to share more info and its cost of repairing. Very Sad.

price difference between PI non-turbo and BM turbo is only 10k+ right?

coupled with 5yr warranty and 3yr FOC servicing, the BM turbo with higher horsepower and torque seem like a no-brainer

the question is how are PI going to sell the non-turbo harriers? 

 

PI can mark up and effectively, buyer pay 10-20% to driveaway

the harrier turbo is a very good car

after test drive yesterday, i am finding it hard to justify the additional $50k+ for my other choice mercedes GLC

i also prefer the interior of the harrier than the GLC, and the ride feels more responsive and punchy

 

at $140k price tag, the harrier turbo is a very strong competitor for the $190k+ GLC (after less discounts and freebies)

 

but i also saw some feedback on the torque converter of the harrier having problems after awhile, not sure how widespread is this issue

Harrier pi 2016 onward and harrier turbo should be no prob.

 

To me either u want badge or u want ride that suits u. To me harrier is better since its more comfy and more spacious compared to glc

Any experts know what's the problem with the harrier rear aircon air flow?

 

It suddenly become very small and weak ac air flow despite set to max.

 

How to fix it and also prevent it from re-ocurring again?
