Why not just zua accelerator loud and overtake swiftly beside? 😁

what the car want to do or not is 1 issue,

what the cyclist did is another, ( he is breaking the traffic and cycling law )

dun get me wrong, if in front is a car not a cyclist that is hogging the road like that delaying all the cars behind, i will give him middle finger also.

u get my point? its single lane , double white line in the middle for many stretch, night time, in coming traffic.

any 1 be it cyclist or other vehicle that hog the road, by traveling super slow and cause problem for all other road user is just a selfish and inconsiderate guy.

beside what u are asking is dangerous, 1 car u might feel, ok, but imagine whole roll of cars doing that. u can picture the danger??

Metal sheet very slippery....

If slip meant.......

The sheet is about 1cm thick.

The person who took photo fell after hitting the metal sheet.

That is so dangerous.

What if there was a car in the middle lane.

The cam car would have hit it.

Local roads were never meant for cyclists in the first place.

So they better stop complaining. They got the road they deserved.

or we can put it another way.

does it mean any cyclist who feel he is not comfortable with the road condition can break the law and cycle in the middle of a 1 way lane hog the lane and make all the car/vehicles behind overtake using opposite lane??

all the bro ask yourself this, dun need anw me, ans yourself in your heart.

Yeah I get your point about being an inconsiderate road user, that's a fair point. Not going to put up any argument on that.

I am thinking and typing from my own point of view and how I would actually react if encountering such a cyclist on ECP service road. I will overtake quickly and safely once a suitable opportunity permits to save my own breath and time. To me, it's same treatment as encountering a road hogger on Lane 1 of the expressway. It's like me purposely tailgating and high beaming the idiot when the left is open for overtaking, just because that idiot is flouting the rules.

Morons encountered on the roads every other day, cyclists, PMDs, motorcyclists, cars, vans, trucks. Just got to watch out for them and drive safe.

Apparently you took it the wrong way.

The one I said should not complain is the cyclists.

Yeah lor - scared fall down, don't ride. Ride then don't be scared of falling and hitting the head. They have a choice. No one forcing them to ride for fun.

When are free to ride on the road with me?

My invitation to you is open-ended.  I can ride at 5 am.

5 am does not create inconvenience.

yes u are totally right on this.

like the 1 in the video i post, those 10-20 cars behind him can over take him using the opposite lane.

but does it mean just because all the other cars can overtake him mean its ok for him to cycle that way??

i say no its still totally not ok . what do u feel???

as a car driver, when faced with a change in road conditions such as potholes, rain, poor visibility (or even snow/ice in certain countries), I slow down to safely navigate the route. Or in the case of snow/ice, different tyres may be required by the local authorities. I don't ignore/override the rules that are designed to organise how society works/interacts in a safe & efficient manner.

Probably some guy shld drive up beside the cyclist, roll down the window and ask him to keep to the left for his own and other road users' sake. That's probably still better than taking a shame video which TP or LTA don't give a damn about.

Perhaps my tolerance for morons on the roads are higher than most people, so most of the time I will live and let live, choosing to be happier to be on my own merry way quickly. Who's right who's wrong, not my job to think about and be the judge all the time.

If it's a hogger be it a cyclist or a car, just treat it as an obstacle and overtake quickly fuss free. That's how I feel 😂

The way I see it...our limited land mass simply cannot support such hobbies of these spandex heroes. Everyday on the roads are people trying to make a honest living.  A lorry driver could be rushing deliveries, a SBS driver trying to keep to his schedules, or it can be a property agent rushing for his viewing to close a deal. While we are trying to put food on the table, these unregulated / arrogant Tour De France actors cause us so much delays and while at it, can flip the birdie at us..

Our roads are awashed with economic activities at all times...such unnecessary past-times please take it somewhere else. I know we are catering to everyone's lifestyles and hobbies such as making the country a more attractive place for FTs to live in but please dun do it at the safety and expense of us paying roadusers.
