Last Sun I shouted at a cyclist.

At East Coast Service Road near old Big Splash. A couple cycling leisurely abreast on the road. With 3 cars following behind

KNN, want to pak tor go to beach PCN lah, why wanna cycle on the road and TCSS ?

I wound down my window and told him to GIVE WAY LAH.

Usually, I am sympathetic towards all law-abiding cyclists on the roads as its true they are the vulnerable group of road users, just above pedestrians.

What you did is the right thing to do. Wind down your window and tell them that they are supposed to give way. 

Submit video online, kpkb on MCF no use one, as some cyclists are really oblivious and have zero situational awareness. East Coast Service service road they aren't allowed to ride abreast as its a single lane on either direction. Strictly single file riding only.

If they wanna do a Tour de SG, then for the kind of consistency and speed they need, urban areas are not the places to do it. 

They are a hazard and liability to other road users, this kind of activity is crossing the line of being legal. 

Perhaps the authority should designate places away from the city for such antics, i.e. no speeding, stop at red lights, small group not exceeding 5,etc.

Why should they be treated differently from other road users and make the system unsafe.

The designated place is Tenah Merah cycle lanes. But they would still move out to the car lanes.
