Just sharing my very humble Seiko Titanium that has been with me for 20 years

My everyday watch for every purpose

Being titanium its pretty light, lighter than the average mobile phone <150gms

Cost to a poor NS boy in 1998 $600+

Turbocharged

I got 2 door in the dark (intentionally brighten a bit to show the logo)

this one got it few years back. Had one more with 2 crowns more than 25 years ago. Cheers

Bro T2,

Since this is your thread and all are popular, maybe should should start with "Why you get this one and why you get that one" to explain what you were thinking when you grab it.

I am sure many of us have a reasons and thinking just like TOJ explains his thots

Yeah a solid gold gmt 2 ref 116718 bought new from Dickson in 2012

Actually bro. The 3186 issue is overblown. The issue is just a small thin piece of metal that was overestimated by Rolex to be sufficiently hardy enough.

All any servicing technician has to do, is to replace that thin metal spring that breaks easily, with an updated stronger, thicker one from Rolex, and the movement should be good to go from then on without any breakdown. There is plenty of technical literature on the internet regarding solving this issue.

It would be a huge pity to allow a small and uncharacteristic material design flaw by Rolex to write off what is otherwise an excellent and reliable watch.

Watches with the calibres 3186 and 3187 from serial year 2014 onwards would have this piece of metal replaced by a thicker, hardier piece at the factory. So if your watch was made in or after 2014, you would be ok.
