DIY punctured tyre

I bought one on Carousell for $15.

It is the type of compressor that comes with those tyre sealant repair kit, minus the sealant.

The compressor still works to inflate the tyre without the sealant repair kit.

This is the cheapo cina made air pump I used. It must be at least 15 yrs since I bought it.

Still working apparently.

Thanks for sharing. Got a question for you which I never seem to be able to sort out.

When you push the worm plug in, it's sort of folded in half.

When you pull the handle out, is it supposed to break into half right at the point where it is folded?

there is actually a small gap / slot at the tip of the equipment that is being push into the hole.

which allow the worm to stay inside

Ah! Thanks.

Saw the gap on a Youtube video.

Silly me, I have the same kit in my car but never noticed it. [laugh]

New repair kit just arrived. The casing although is crappy, the tools inside are good.

Well made and metal handle is a solid piece and weighs quite heavy.

actually as long as not puncture at the side,

this is as good as internal patching.

These are essential things to bring for a north up trip.

yup I carry the same items, as well as gloves, headlamp (my head not car), torch light, high-vis wear as well as a full size spare rim + tyre.

contemplated bringing my hydraulic jack too but it's really too heavy n bulky.

Already kena puncture a couple of times in Msia. So far lucky in Thai (altho cracked some dry CF bodykit when kena flying stone)

earlier this mth I was driving home around 1am when I saw one old man struggling to change his punctured tyre just outside my house. His stock wheel nut wrench was not long enough to loosen the nuts. Lucky I had a longer (extendable) type in my boot.

Ya you need to extendable one for better leverage. Or carry a battery impact wrench.
