Every motion raised by opposition get rejected. Every motion raised by PAP get passed.

What a parliament. 😴

SINGAPORE: Parliament on Wednesday (Sep 15) passed a motion by Finance Minister Lawrence Wong on securing Singaporeans’ jobs and livelihoods, and rejected a competing motion by Progress Singapore Party (PSP) member Leong Mun Wai, after a marathon debate that started on Tuesday afternoon and carried on past midnight.

Non-Constituency Member of Parliament (NCMP) Mr Leong had filed a motion calling upon the Government to “take urgent and concrete action to address the widespread anxiety among Singaporeans on jobs and livelihoods caused by the foreign talent policy and the provisions on Movement of Natural Persons in some free trade agreements (FTA) like the India-Singapore Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA)”.

I go pass motion better…knn.

Is this Vivian the Creme of the cock talent we can produce?

If yes, I must apologize to the G for advocating FTs so vehemently..

After so many boo-boos from him, he is still around. That means LHL treasured him a lot.

From how many meals do you want to YOG over budget to hawker centre ceiling please cum clean to TT fiasco to this now.

Finally pick up by foreign media. 😁

https://www.scmp.com/week-asia/politics/article/3149138/singapore-foreign-ministers-apology-lays-bare-angst-over-elite

Singapore foreign minister’s apology lays bare angst over elite school obsession and class divide

Vivian Balakrishnan has apologised to opposition politician Leong Mun Wai for questioning his educational background while in parliament

The incident has fuelled discussion on how capabilities are measured by the schools a person attended, and raised questions about leaders’ private views

I think it is stupid to hide the fact that schools in Singapore are not all the same standard. It is not the school but the pupils enrolled. This is a man made situation and supported by MOE. While it is necessary to segregate the faster learning students from those not so academically inclined, they don't have to be in different school, just different classes. In life, would you be working or socialising with only people of the same acedemic learning? Now you built schools around neighbourhood but student s travel from east to west to the school they preferred or are being assigned. Very productive leh.

As cocky and condescending.. for a start... as he was,  is and will no doubt continue to be...

He is the ONLY one who apologise,  which means incredibly,   he is the some what the more "honourable" one among the gang 🤯

He deserves all the shit thrown his way... but the others in hiding deserves it even more.

Well dunno about others lives... but in PAP.. it apparently is.

Though I would add that even if your academic and private sector achievements are actually higher... still they would do everything in their power to destroy you for not kneeling.

But you expect a sincere apology from this cocksure fellow?

But at least got apologized better than nothing although this kind of smirkish behavior is really worrying of the caliber of these ministars ..
