Simple home DIY repairs

OK job done. Happy with the result. Hard to get it properly in position and still exert pressure with only one pair of hands. My wife not around when I did this. 

This handle comes with screw covers also. And a good set of self drilling screws. Didn't need to put pilot holes.

Bag strap hook ring area thread came loose. 

Original opposite side vs Repaired and majorly reinforced. 

Repair reduce reuse recycle.

I tried to sew my cheap pants, crotch seam, as it split apart. But it split apart again.

I decided for $5 new pants, it's not worth repairing. 😁

Anyone knows how to clean off oil stains on wall eh? I spray some citronella oil on the wall and it left an ugly oil stain on the wall. 😅 Asked mr google, it says use baking soda or white vinegar. But never try them yet. White vinegar don't really want to try, cause don't want the house smell of sour smell. Lol.

maybe try some isopropyl alcohol ?

Yes, buy it. It's very useful.

Can clean and disinfect, remove oil. Remove sticky residue, etc.

Im sure you know what to do when all else fail...move to a cleaner cave...just make sure you donch remove any of @RadX distant relative masterpiece can liao 😁

If got old stain already on painted wall, hard to remove completely no matter what you use. You use too strong or rub too hard, the paint will flake off.

anyone using any quiet or soft-click switches for your water heater switch ?

mine is the standard HDB switch which clicks quite loudly whenever its being switched on and off.

"quiet" as in mechanical switches and not those wifi (powered) switches.

Eh? Does it matter. Not as if it’s a light switch where you switch on and off many times. Water heat just off and on for that period of use. More importantly to get a decent approved one.

A legrand one should probably be silent. However they seem to be for those places with recessed switches. Not the ones with switch boxes protruding.

My home is currently using Honeywell. But it's not super quiet also. But of course not as loud as MK which was what was used in my old place.
