I think its front overhang was long. Compared to those of same generation Corolla and Civic, the Corolla and Civic front ends looked relatively stubby.

Economically speaking, a mainstream car maker at least need to cater to the mass market as a bottomline. If it wants to go premium, it also cannot over-priced too drastically relative to its market standing and perceived value-for-money. I don't know if that strategy will work out well or not....

You see it first! The new CX-60 has the vibe of the Jaguar F-Pace from certain angle. 

This is the 189 horsepower / 141KW 2.5L (2,488cc) Luxury version, with an OMV of $29,240.

With a VES surcharge of $15K and COE premium of >$120K, the basic car cost is in excess of $240K. I am guessing it would be priced at close to $300K, if not higher

Let's see how well their luxury rebranding works. Maybe it will only work in the US market. The prices of Japanese SUV over there will be more competitive plus they will have more engine options w/o paying too much tax. 

The cx60 will be priced closer to the cx8 with similar omv pricing? The local main dealer also price the cx8 at around $250K with the same ves surcharge. If selling the cx60 at close to $300K I think no one will bite.

Compared to the CX-5, I think the front fascia of CX-5 looks nicer, but the tail lights of CX-60 are nicer as they are more coherent with the whole design, interior and cockpit layout looks similar on both.

My apology, the basic car cost I quoted last night is incorrect (too sleepy, cannot think). It should be as follows:

So I am guessing RRP of $250,888 to $258,888 (depending on COE premium, which has been hovering between $118K - $125K), basing on ~20% profits margin.

I have driven the CX5 recently. Same for my boss whom rented when he was in UK. We feel it sucks. It is really not a nice car to drive at all leh. Sorry folks, that for me and my boss, for Mazda lovers, please don't mind our comments. You may have your other considerations though

At first glance, i thot it was the CX-5

Then noticed the slab sided design which makes it look a bit heavier than the Cx-5

The rear is the bestest view
