@13177My neighbour has kept his OPC, at least two brand new, for donkey years. His current ride is a Mz3.

You are right. With low mileage and coe premium (likely just around $30K),the onwer can easily break even if not making a tiny profit for his underutilised car.

The car deserved a better owner.

The owner must have read too much news  about chip shortage and banging on hope that there will be a shortage of Nissan Note soon. 

In my opinion, what is $17K saving (plus a couple hundred dollar cheaper in road tax) to the total ownership cost? Not worth at all unless the owner use his car mainly at night (e.g.those who are working full time night shift).

Opc car at the end of coe, able to convert to normal car? 10yrs of the saved 17k is used up and need not add more for conversion??
