It's not the same. Kleptomania is a legitimate mental illness that needs to be treated medically. Homosexuality is not.

It not be a good example but what I am trying to say here is, any not norm we should try ways to 'correct' and not accept it is norm. Anyone here can confirm all homosexual are result of born into the wrong body?

But homosexuality is not harmful to anyone (unlike kleptomania which results in financial loss). So why should we try to 'fix' homosexuality?

I'm not a medical professional but I don't believe homosexuality is an abnormality that needs to be 'fixed'.

While it may not harm 3rd parties, do we encourage or ignore as if it is normal? Like kleptomaniac, if can 'cure'or overcome, isn't it good or you think is bad?

who are you to decide what is "normal" and what is "not normal"?

years ago, it was normal to keep slaves and women were not allow to vote. People also believed the earth was flat.

There's nothing to 'cure' about homosexuality. Homosexuality is not a mental illness.

In a cohort of babies born, some will naturally be attracted to people of the same sex but the majority will naturally be attracted to the opposite sex.  Life is just like that, like it or not.  What is the purpose for legislating it as a CRIME?    .  Must you make it a SIN that needs to be condemned?  If you must, how severely do you condemn, how far should you go to stamp out something that is naturally occurring?

Whether it is desirable or not is easier to decide.  If it is not, what can you do? what is reasonable that you can do?Throw them off buildings like ISIS? Let them contribute to society by donating their sperm to lesbians for IVF to increase the population?

377A defines it as a crime.  Even IF societal values or religions' teachings are against it, what justification is there to make it a CRIME?.  Why not make adultery a crime? Why not legislate against activities that can lead to adultery?

I suspect that a big motivation for the hatred for LGBT is to protect the religions because accepting LGBT means agreeing that some religious teachings were not logical

I think the "natural" arguments has been used and abused to death.

I had the misfortune of spending more time than i ever wanted to visiting someone in an ICU.

NOTHING in the whole place was "natural"... absolutely nothing. But people have no objections to hospitals and extremely few have the courage to reject going to that un natural place to be cut up if need be when needed. Mother nature has no part there.

But someone born the way they are is considered an "unnatural" sin... it  just isn't a logical argument. just live and let live.

actually i received a telephone call survey done on religion and LGBT topics few months ago. Although they didn't mention specifically about 377A, the questions phrased was toward that and my answer was mostly "i'm ok with LGBT"
