[Error] Mazda & Vezel Thread

The engine will be switch off when you depress on the brake pedal for maybe 3-5 secs. That feature is to save fuel.

 

This button is above the gear stick....the icon of the button looks like A with a semi-circle around it.

 

 

I will try it on this Friday, when I get my Vezel. SO you were saying to turn it off when I start engine?

My feedback on driving the car is pretty good. I have no issues with it. Only issue I have is that when I sit in front seat next to driver I can't put my feet down properly as it is blocked by the fueltank under the front seats. I am 1.85meter so I push front seat back but my feet can't place close to the seat.

I'm 1.87.. i have no issues in the front seat be it passenger or driver, even driver seat, i dun shift it all the way back.. i still feel comfortable..maybe different seating habits..

To each its own, some like to have the features on, some don't... when you get the car, have your own feel to it den u decide..

Yes, I saw they wrote in dec have free slot. I am still thinking so as not to waste the feature where the HU can support Andriod Auto. However I find Google Map is not as accurate as before, Carplay by Apple GPS is the worst. I am using Waze, even though the interface not so good by everything else is quite good.

 

I dunno for fog lamp and break lights, it feels shiok and nice after the change but we cannot see it, only others from outside can see...

 

 

And I find the LED headlight quite glaring, it's a little softer it would be nice.

 

Led headlight is ok cus it shines downwards..

 

Foglamp cus different colour bulb from the lamp.. the hybrid tail light is sexy..

1 month into driving Honda Vezel.

 

Overall great car with super good fuel efficiency compared to my Honda Civic. Just have to get used to driving a SUV type car than a saloon, the overall feel is very different. And im loving all those great features... brake hold, CTBA, Auto Engine cut.

Nah, i think it's fine to leave as it is. I was stuck on a bad jam, so the engine just cut off when ever i depress the brake, so quite annoying. But these personal but i think leaving all the feature on is fine.

Yes,quite good economy,using it for almost 3 years,only a bit noisy,average 12km/L,50% City/50% Highway.2.5L.

Yes he does, but i read dat the he's has some issue with certain HU.. so maybe he not selling it actively. Yours is X model? u didn't request for it? I thought new improved models should have in all Vezels?

Is changing fog lights to LED legal?? if too bright LTA will catch??

S model comes with 17 inch Alloy wheels, I think also depends on driving habits, if you are talking about FC.

I don't drive Vezel. However, I changed my rims to 18", and it does not affect my FC because the 18" were lighter than the stock rims. Maintaining low unsprung mass is one of the keys to low FC.

16in look a bit small on Vezel so thinking of 17in.

Maybe you can consider those low-pressure casted rims (not made in China). They are comparatively cheap, beautiful and lighter than stock. Will probably save you money in the long run if you have high mileage.

Ya X model...I thought it came with it but it did not! And when I look around at the showroom on collection date, all those cars did not have either.

I doubt so, if not they won't even invent this thing.

They invent this thing because no choice, govt regulations in Europe etc forcing them to improve the fuel efficiency as much as possible and start-stop is one of the ways they can squeeze out more fuel efficiency to meet the regulations.

 

Whether it will cause more wear and tear, logically is yes.

Whether it means more replacement costs, depends on how well they engineered the engine to bear with the extra wear and tear so that can last life-time of your use of the car (say, 10 years?).

 

But definitely battery will never last 10 years (even for normal batteries) and battery in car with start-stop function will cost more whenever you replace it because you cannot use normal battery but need hardier battery that cost more.  This is not counting that you might need to replace it more often.

 

I think start-stop battery generally are those that indicate use of EFB technology http://www.johnsoncontrols.com/content/us/en/products/power-solutions/products/lead-acid/enhanced-flooded.html

(All battery brands should have EFB-type battery nowadays and hopefully, workshops nowadays know which one to change for you).
