Most films i have come across are designed to be installed on the interior of the glass; eg home windows etc. I now need a tinting film that is to be applied on the EXTERIOR of the glass to prevent heat and also to improve privacy. I also know that if an interior film is installed on the exterior, it loses its heat prevention function (although it still offers the same degree of privacy) Does anyone know where to get such exterior tinting film locally? pls help. thanks!

I would like to get tinted films that are of the same material as the plastic that holds the rd tax disc onto the front wind screen. so i can remove and put back as and when i wan/ i am planning to get those to stick onto my side windows and leave it on when i park my car. this is to prevent ppl from looking into in. (i seldom drive the car, parked most of the time) i would very much like to get curtains but this ride's a convertible. -

Anyone here on tintsycool ??? I had mine installed weeks ago, looks good then, but now i noticed bubblings at rear windscreen... numerous small ones which will not go unnoticed... anyone had such problem?? should i go back to have them rectify the problem ?? a few weeks is more than the curing time of films right ?

Hi... would like to know if anyone done their solar film by McGap - www.mcgap.com ?? Their films seemed to have a decent heat rejection of (F:62%, R:56%) for $400++ package. Supposedly, they will also issue a warranty certificate with the VLT ratings... any feedback is greatly appreciated... thanxx..

Actually I'm back at the office. Sun2Hot at PSB Bldg is doing it. I know some JB afficianandos are going to slam me for this but I like the convenience of doing it in SG itself. Cost is 560 inclusive of GST because of my itchiness for greater heat rejection. OK the ran the VLT meter over the stock glass and this is what I got: All sidelights and rear windshield is 80% VLT. Front windshield is 85% VLT. I'm opting for Superlux 70 for the front and Nano 60 for the rear. Superlux 70 has heat rejection of 75%. Nano 60 has heat rejection of 50%. I would have preferred darker tint behind but the best heat rejection is Nano 50 also at 50% but the darker tints up to Nano 40 is 36% heat rejection. So darker not necessarily mean better heat rejection. Lifetime warranty.

V-kool, Huber optik or any good recomendations that probably you pple have utilised before ? In terms of pricing as well, let's say $700. If you pple have some information,kindly share it with me ?? Any guys/gals out there has DIY own window films (NANOLUX or the like). Can share some comments and experiences. Any advise against DIY-ing your own window film are also welcome.
