Global Oil Glut Sends Prices Plunging - WSJ Economists say falling oil prices could kill off Russia’s flagging economic growth, forecast at no more than 0.5% this year. Evgeny Nadorshin, chief economist at Russian conglomerate AFK Sistema, said Russia’s economy could begin contracting by the end of this year if oil prices remain near $90 a barrel. Leading Russian politicians and executives believe the Saudis are pushing down prices to target Russia’s oil-export-dependent economy and Mr. Putin, as an extension of ongoing sanctions. -

just 34 from peak of 140 back then...... Its just a matter of time. Then everything will go up again. Perhaps there will then be even more unrest. The world is going haywire soon.

Cause previously I don't see such huge price disparity between Nymex and Brent (Brent usually slightly higher only). But now its USD15 difference!! Brent is USD100 while Nymex already drop to USD85. Something is seriously wrong........... -

Its the highest of the highest and they peg their prices to that? How about NYmEX crude which is much lower at USD88.8 now even WTI Cushing is lower at 87.96... Strange........

Low levels of sulphur gives the oil a sweet taste and nice smell...... And people back then actually taste the oil to determine its quality..... All I know about our petrol is that its STINKS LIKE HELL!! I don't think I will ever want to taste it...... -
Notice crude oil price been dropping for past few days...latest price was @ USD$65 PB Now the question is that when will local cartel lower its pump price.....but likely they will act blur again for this week or maybe even till next week

Today ST reported that the price of oil had dropped to US$34/- per barrel even after OPEC had agreed to drop daily production by 2.2 million per day from January 2009 ........ Prediction from expert that the oil would drop further to about US$20/- per barrel ...... KNN ....... our oil kartels still did not drop their pump prices since the last drop 2 weeks ago (around US$47/- per barrel)....... My tank is now slightly more than 1/4 tank and waiting for it to drop yesterday but no news of falling prices...... . Don't like the feeling after refuelling at old price in the morning and they adjust the pump price in the evening as I ever kana twice last month ..... Shell, Shell, Shell...... where are you? .... Why don't you start the ball rolling first .... -
Oil price lo liao, why nv adjust fast and lower price. Wah piang, once crude price go up, the oil companies rush to raise price within the same day.

With price of crude currently at US$70/barrel. It has risen significantly from a low of just under US$60/barrel just a week ago. Will taxi fuel surcharge stay? Will we see the greedy cartels raising the pump prices by 5cents this week or next?

[inline crude.jpg] As of now, crude is trading at $89 at UK's Brent north sea crude. $93+ at NYMEX. Guess those hedge funds that are buying in oil are now losing big time sia Looking forward to another round of petrol price drop. Last drop was at $99 per barrel for NYMEX.
