  1. bloody hell who is the dept in charge of potholes? LTA? small island cant keep the road in proper order. Saw motorcycle almost buang because of big pothole. have experienced numerous pot holes all over the island. so hard to maintain the road? nb malaysia also less occurence than in sgp. near nuh even better. 3 lanes all filled with leftover cement for months and no one bothers.
  2. Sharing some videos of persistent road hoggers i met recently. If you think road hogging is bad, you should look at these elites. Ya i know my music is loud, blackvue microphone cannot tahan my SPL 5k setup. There is no law in singapore that disallow loud music while travelling. Lane 1 is NOT a cruising lane. don't be like that ambulance idiot and jam the 1st lane. Dont blame people for tailgating because you are the one that cause the tailgater to tailgate. NO ONE WILL tailgate an considerate driver. *Note that in all my video i will high beam the driver 1st to let him/her know to please give way, dont block the OVERTAKING lane, THEN only if he/her ignore then i will horn. Already given the necessary warnings, people just choose to cruise on an OVERTAKING lane. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0PgpO3MVXOU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbyKg63w8H0
  3. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=BKorP55Aqvg i had a feeling of deja vu when i watched this. it really brought back memories of when i was an engineer.... A marvelous video that fully expresses the contrast between an engineer's rational mind and the others he sometimes must encounter at work for whom words are the wind that powers sales.

  5. Juz encounter one farking idiot who dashed across the road w/o looking for oncoming vehicles. luckily i was travelling damn slow as it was drizzling. missed that S.O.B by inches. he con't running after i e-brake oblivious of what he has juz done. boiling at that time, i chased him down into the HDB blocks and gave him a good one. stupid reply from him made me nearly strangle him:' sorry sorry i was running didnt see u..' didn't see me?! my car is small but not to the extend that it became invisible. gave him one hell of a time after i hear dat. the by standers were rubber necking and staring at my direction as usual. knn~ bros and sis, rainy days are here. drive safe and look out for suicidal jay walkers.
  6. I went out for lunch at a small place in International Plaza with 2 friends today. This place is usually very crowded and people are always waiting for tables, and people generally finish their meal chop-chop and clear off. There was a 6-seater table around which 3 people were already seated. This was the initial seating arrangement: X1 X2 O3 (table) O4 X5 O6 [corner pillar] where 1-6 denote position, X denotes a seat filled by a member of the other party and O an empty one. There were no other free tables with 3 seats. X1 was male, while X2 and X5 were females. The two females (X2 and X5) had already clearly finished their meal, while X1 (the male) was having a drink. While one friend and I were queueing up to buy makan, my other friend (denoted by Y) sat down, and the new arrangement became: X1 X2 Y3 (table) O4 X5 O6 [corner pillar] I'm a rather large person and O6 was abutting the corner pillar (tight squeeze). Having seen that X at position 5 had *already finished eating* and was just chatting away, I stood behind the seat O6 for a few minutes, hoping that X5 would notice and move to O4 of her own accord. No such luck. So I politely asked the female in X5 to shift to O4 as space was a bit tight for me, plus there was another friend joining my party. After all, she had already finished eating long ago - although I didn't point this out, as it might have been construed as rude. Guess what? X5 (passive-agressive bitch) remained stolidly seated, completely ignoring me. To make matters worse, the active-aggressive bitch at X2 piped up: "BUT WE WERE HERE FIRST, CHUKNOW?!" Then they proceed to ignore me again. OK, fine. Wanna play it that way, you inconsiderate bitches? I'm game. I yanked out O6 and proceeded to deposit my wide and considerable bulk into it, as I was bloody well entitled to do, since it was an empty seat. X5 was now *forced* to move to O4: X1 X2 Y3 (table) X4 O5 Y6 [corner pillar] I only moved back toward the corner pillar to free up space at O5 when my friend returned after placing his order. X1 X2 Y3 (table) X4 Y5 Y6 [corner pillar] During the entire meal X2 was staring daggers at me. I didn't give a sh*t. Incredibly, the X party *continued* to occupy their seats reading newspapers and magazines while people were milling around them waiting for a place. After finishing our meal (the X party members were STILL occupying seats without eating), my friend at Y5, immediately got up and loudly proclaimed "If we're done, let's be considerate and give up our seats to others who are waiting." I could see this was just to bait X party, so I also got up quickly and rejoined, "Yes, let's be considerate. Unfortunately, being considerate is not a universal trait. Some people are just plain inconsiderate." Then the three of us Ys left with alacrity. So that was my unpleasant lunchtime encounter with inconsiderate idiots, and at least one overt bitch. Oh, and since race seems to be rather important to some people on this forum, the X party were Chinese, as are both my friends, while I'm Indian. Just in case any of those posters who previously made those topics are curious.
  7. http://motoring.asiaone.com/Motoring/News/...214-252721.html Fri, Dec 17, 2010 The New Paper By Desmond Ng TALK about a speedy exit. A luxury car rental business here has closed its shutters after just about two months into the business. 6Speed - which offered high performance supercars like the Lamborghini Murcielago and Ferrari F430 for rent for as much as $4,500 a day - has ceased its operations. It had launched its business with a party at Timbre @ The Arts House in October. When The New Paper visited its office at Loyang Drive yesterday, the company's signage was no longer there. Its fleet of flashy supercars was also nowhere to be seen. The business had previously rented the premises from vehicle service centre Exquisite Marques, which also operates from that workshop. An Exquisite Marques employee there said 6Speed had vacated the place a few weeks ago. 6Speed sales director Denny Koh could not be reached despite calls to his mobile phone. He also did not respond to our text messages. The company's telephone number was also not in use. A search with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority showed the business as a "live company" and listed a Mr Charlton Goh as sole proprietor. Our searches showed that Mr Goh is a discharged bankrupt. In an interview with The New Paper last month, Mr Koh said that the company had about 120 members who paid between $10,000 and $50,000 for packages to gain access to 6Speed's fleet of 15 cars. This included a BMW 320i convertible, a Porsche 911 C4S and the top-of-the-range Lamborghini Murcielago. About half its fleet is rented out every weekend, he said then. The New Paper understands that a used car dealer had repossessed six of 6Speed's cars because of defaulted loans. Exotic car rental is considered a niche business because of the high up-front costs of buying and maintaining such supercars. Then there are the insurance costs. The annual insurance for such cars is about $20,000 a year, compared to about $1,000 for a family sedan. This is why only a handful of companies here offer rentals of high-performance marques such as Porsches, Ferraris and Lamborghinis. In the previous interview, Mr Koh said that about 80 per cent of his clients were locals. One other car rental company said that four of 6Speed's previous customers called them last week, saying that they had each paid deposits to rent cars from 6Speed. A staff member at the rental company, who declined to be named, said: "Some of their clients called us for help in locating the other firm, saying that they've already paid their deposits to rent the car. And now, they're left in the lurch with no cars. "That's when we found out that they (6Speed) could possibly have ceased operations."
  8. thinking about installing HID rear foglight to give those who like to dazzle with their fog/headlights a taste of their own medicine. any other more cost-effective solutions? dun wanna be charged for road rage for confronting the pricks though.
  9. Was introduced to this movie by a friend. Initially I was skeptical about how good would a Bollywood movie be. Having seen how impressive Slum Dog was I catch the move - 3 idiots and I would say it is very good. Should not miss it and I thought of recommending it to all to watch the movie....
  10. The other day we went to see an apartment for sale at Hillview Regency near Bukit Batok. Drove in, security said park at Level 4 mscp, turned right couldn't find it... hundreds, literally HUNDREDs of empty lots so just parked. After that, one guard straightaway come up and said park at multi-storey - so lan lan got back in the car to drive to the other tower side and found the mscp. Already late for the appointment, but nevermind. Went to Level 4, it was full, but all the other storeys not full so I park on level 2. Guess what? They bloody wheelclamp my car and then in the end even after all the argument made us pay $107!!! [rifle] Want to shoot that fat lady manning her post - rude as well. She forced us literally by EXTORTION means saying that if we wanted our car back, we'd have to pay, no choice lorrr...GRRR what would you do? even if you had a lambo or type R, got to pay still got to pay. Make matters worse, only pay by cash... agent offered to fetch us to the ATM, cuz we didn't carry large notes with us. The RE agent also couldn't believe how stupid the security is.... this is the best way to chase off buyers. Guess what, the STUPID condo has got 82 units up for SALE. Don't ever buy from this LOUSY condo with such shitty pighead idiots running the show. Never met such a dumb condo security.
