  2. hi! anyone here heard or tried this tire model from dunlop: SP Racer i tried to google it and only found very little info: http://www.pricecheck.co.za/products/14146...unlop+SP+Racer/ i came across this tire in autobacs, and the salesperson quoted "should be around S$230/pc for 225/40/18". the salesperson was pretty busy serving another customer, so, i did not really ask more since i was just looking around... some of the details i remembered from the tire's side wall were... "Made in South Africa", "thread wear 280", "temperature A" any feedback is much appreciated...

  8. First things first... I have nothing against car makes of any kind... Sushi, Bacon and eggs, Kimci or Mao. I'm a relaxed driver who gives way rather than be the first in line. However today @ 9pm I had a brush with a souped up old model Kia Cerato HB... Was travelling along Bt Timah... lane 1 towards city. There's a Beemer on lane 2 slightly in front of me and we were cruising along fine @ 75kmh. The traffic lights near the Caltex station turns red and i let my foot off the accelerator and let my car roll on its momentum. I believe that the Beemer driver does the same because his car slowed down without his brake light being lit. At this juncture we were about 200m from the junction. I then notice a pair of headlight coming very fast behind me. Siao liao... i think one speedy fella so i want to filter left to let pass... but this dumbo driver stayed between lane 1 and lane 2 so I have no idea where he want to pass me from. As I am already near the red light, so i just stayed in the lane 1 and tap brake to slow and stop. Suddenly this dumbo behind me rev engine vroom vroom overtake me on the left, and cut into the small space between me and the Beemer in the second lane. I think the Beemer driver also noticed him cutting dangerously and swerved left to make space for this dumbo. I have to swerve into lane 2 because the DUMBO braked hard in front of me and the space is so tight. By this time we have nearly reached the traffic light and the light turned green without any of us having to stop. Then this Cerato (now i see the make/model clearly) with many brake lights accelerated as hard as it could (engine goes Brooommmm!!!!). The Beemer driver then floored his pedal and left the Cerato biting the dust. I also sian floored my oil and let the Cerato smell my exhaust pipe. My car is an MPV that is all stock and i was surprised that i left the asthmatic Cerato FAR behind. I caught up with the Beemer who has slowed down after quite a distance. As I passed by, the driver, a Chinese man smiled, gave me the thumbs up, pointed back at the Cerrato and drew circles on his temple. When I filter right for the U turn to Sixth Ave, the Cerrato HB FINALLY caught up with roaring engines... his window was down and the typical techno music was as loud as it can be. The driver has his hand out and was showing the middle finger. I think that's the best he can do.... HAHAHA! Hahaha! Same to you.... Loser.
  9. This is for a laugh only. I myself also have some boy racer tendencies so please don't be small gas ok? 10) You have Initial D bedsheets 9) You have a Lancer Evolved (not to be confused with Lancer Evolution) 8) You refer to your Mazda 3 as M3 7) You have a 1.6 version of Civic type T 6) Your car can go up MSCP OK but must come down in reverse 5) Your car surface has more decal than paint 4) Your spoiler keeps the car stable through weight 3) No turbo just turbo gauge 2) If you can't match a race car in speed, you match it in noise 1) You use quality decals from HKS, OZ, Brembo ...
  10. I was at PIE towards Tuas this afternoon, started hogged by a car in the 1st lane at 80km/hr after Chantek flyover till the left bend before Ngee Ann Poly. The 2nd lane was without vehicle and I signal left and filtered out while accelerating, overtook this car at lane 1 with about 3 car lengths ahead (at Anak Bukit flyover). I didn't signal my intention to return back to lane 1 as normally road hoggers would not be bothered too much. This car, suddenly from hogger turn tailgater and racer. Follow me closely. Trying to overtake me. I wasn't too bothered when he overtook me from 2nd lane and back to the 1st lane....than less than a split second, he went back to 2nd lane. I was between 100-110 all the while. When I pass him. This guy was like mid 40s to early 50s, had a female passenger in the front seat around the same age. I was thinking why so, childish? Want to drive fast then drive all the way lah. Sudden burst of speed to show what? He was like back to 80km/hr on lane 2 when I exit at Toh Guan. What was he trying to show me? He actually know how to overtake and his car can 'chiek' mine too? or he was pissed because I overtook him from the left and I don't signal while he was hogging on lane 1? My reason: I was at Turf City proceeded to Bedok to send off my colleague's mum last journey, then when the casket was loaded, I headed back to Bt Batok for another customer. The schedule was tight, but still manageable. I wasn't speeding excessively. Sometimes these jokers really

  13. Enough of Lancers racing Sunnys... Check this garang granny racer out instead! Wonder if any brothers here witness the chase... http://newpaper.asia1.com.sg/news/story/0,4136,96064,00.html SHE looked like the easiest of prey - a 57-year-old grandmother alone in her car. And not only did the robbers outnumber her two to one, they were also armed with a wicked-looking 'Rambo' knife. But what the robbers did not count on was for this granny to give chase after they had robbed her of her handbag. In the end, one of the robbers lost his life when the motorcycle they were fleeing on skidded and crashed. The robbery attempt happened on Saturday morning when former journalist Mariah Samad was getting into her car outside her home in Petaling Jaya, reported the New Sunday Times. As she was about to leave, two men approached her on a motorcycle and politely asked her for directions. Suddenly, one of them demanded that she hand over her handbag. When Madam Mariah refused, he whipped out a knife and threatened to kill her. 'The pillion rider opened the car door and grabbed my bag,' she said. 'I started honking and screaming but no one came to my aid.' As the robbers sped off, Madam Mariah jumped into her Proton Wira and chased them right onto the Damansara-Puchong Highway. During the pursuit, Madam Mariah honked her horn furiously in the hope that someone would help stop the fleeing thieves. Two kilometres into the chase, the motorcyclist lost control of the bike and crashed into a roadside barrier. The 24-year-old pillion rider died on the spot. The rider, who was not heavily injured, managed to limp away from the accident. He then hailed a taxi and asked the driver to take him to Sungei Gelek in Klang. Suspecting that something was amiss, the taxi driver locked the doors of his vehicle and drove the robber to the Kelana Jaya police station, where the robber was arrested. The identity of the 20-year-old robber was not released by the police. While Madam Mariah was commended by the police for her actions, they have cautioned her against going after fleeing criminals because of the risks involved.
