If I want to respray the car to a diff color, does the workshop needs to remove parts in the engine bay, including the engine? How much will it cost? And how long is the down time?

hi bros, After recommendations from some bros here, I went to dreamwerkz to get a quote for a respray cum grooming package. The price was a little on the high side, but reading on here about their history reputation etc and also hearing from them about the products they use, I guess it justifies the price. however, one issue I needed help on. They said that they are not the actual workshop doing the respray. They would pass the car to another workshop to do the dent removal, respray, and they would only do the grooming part. After visiting their workshop, it kind of makes sense as it seems their main business is in car grooming and detailing, and not car bodywork respray etc. But my main concern is, which workshop is it that will handle the respray ? I asked them but they kind of said they go to some trusted workshops to do the respray, but through what he said it was implied that they would not disclose which workshop. When I asked him if he would guarantee the workmanship of the respray, the answer was not clear but could have meant yes and no ... so .... any idea which workshop will handle my car respray should I take the package with dreamwerkz ? I am ok with the price but I just want some assurance of this workshop before I proceed. thanks!

Went to shipyard yesterday and parked for a day.... when returned discover that my car was full of those flakes and speckles of spray paint. My description maybe not good, anyway whole picture means very very tiny polka dots of paint. Anyone knows how to get rid of that? other than respraying the whole car..

i know we all like our rides shiny shiny and to that end we use polishers to remove marks and swirls... but aren't polishers abrasive (not referring to fillers which don't do the work so well) and wear out the clear coat? so how does one top up the clear coat without going for a respray?

Hi Bros, Need some help, a couple of days ago a Landy Defender lightly hit my rear bumper. Luckily its nothing majors, just some paint transfers and a small dent at the bottom of the bonnet. The Landy driver gave me $400 as I do not want to get the insurance companies involved. Can anyone tell me what is the normal cost to have a workshop to knock out the the small dent and respray it, as well as to respray the bumper?

wanted to get a set of Volk CE28Ns in the limited edition "time attack" colour (pictured above) but realise it'd be much cheaper to just re-spray my current bronze CE28Ns. anybody done any respraying like this? ie. not just re-spray black, but black with the red edge?

i was considering of respaying my car color from black to silver... (currently i driving accord jdm honda 2.4L) reason to respray is that black color is too hard to maintain and i have simply no time for that so thinking of having silver color will will be easy to maintain... is it advisable to do it? how much is it? which workshop to recommend? heard that the workshop will need to strip open your doors, bonnet etc in order to have a thorough spray but when they assemable back the parts, will it have prbs?

anyone got any cheaper recommendation of workshop doin respraying of car. wanna change a new color for my car, but dun wanna spend so much on a old car liao... on the other hand still wanna change it to white color.. anyone got any good lobangs????
