Time to change tyres, this time round thinking of changing to either higher or lower profile on stock ralliart rims with 195/60/15 tyres currently. Am I correct to say these: 1) Change to 195/65/15 and the gap between tyres and wheel arc will be lesser BUT car become taller. 2) Change to 195/55/15 and the gap between tyres and wheel arc will become larger BUT car will be lower. Yet to decide 1) or 2) but for 2) when side view I can imagine it might look like the car on a set of small wheel. To have a comfort ride, 1) or 2) will be a better choice?

hi all, just to check, does 18 inch tyres come in 225 widths? is this common or available for performances tyres like F1 Asym, CSC3 and PS3? 225/45/R18 if not, what is the size commonly available that is the closest match so that the shop don't need to do special indent? thx!

Hi bro Im upgrading to 18" rims from a C63 AMG the stock tire size in the front is 235/40/zr18 and the rears are 255/35/zr18 will 225/40R18 fit for both front and back? or should i follow the stock sizing?

Hi to all.. Other than looks wise, how does the performance of a car changes be it using 14' rims or 19' rims? Does it make it more efficient, faster, uses less petrol... or what? Thanks for enlightening!

OK here is the deal. Lets say my car can use 2 different tire sizes. 195/50-15 and 185/55-15. Obviously the latter the narrower and taller tire. Now, my car like any typical owner here is a FF car. If I were to install the narrow, taller tire behind as opposed to the same sized tire, what will the effects be? Will I get reduced understeer?

Hi bros, I just learnt that the Bridgestone GR80 is now available in low profile sizes such as 205/50r16 and 215/45/r17. Has anyone fitted them on low profile rims yet? Quite keen on them considering the good feedback on noise and grip. Also comes with AQ Donuts II tech thats found in only the S03 and the GIII. Looking forwards to comments on these tyres! Cheers!

I got this off with some calculations: Rim size Offset Suggest tire size 14X6 38 185/60/14 15X6.5 38 195/50/15 15X7 35 195/50/15 16X7 45 195/45/16 16X7.5 45 195/45/16 PCD is 4X100 I still have my Advan racing rims at 14X6/38 with ST115 185/60/14 tires These are calculated based on my current wheels and tires which are 13X5J using 155/80/13.

hi all, i recently upgraded my rims to 17 inches for my mit lancer 02 previous tyre was 195/55/15 now my front tyres is usinf firestone firehawk 205/40/17, back tyres is falken 512 using 215/45/17.. i used 205/40 for front due to 215/45 will scrap my wheel arch abit... so i down the size abit... is there any prob is having diff tyre sizes for front and rear? the guy told me its ok one... people who chiong normally do dat... any comments?? thnx!

Why does the F1 cars have such small wheels and fat profile tires? I tot low profile tires with large wheels are essential for max cornering stability? Could it be such that to slow those rocket cars down????
