As you may have watched the TV spots on TV, MRT stations or even Youtube Ads, TF4 is coming to cinemas in 26th June. It's still directed by Michael Bay but have a whole new cast of characters. That's why, Mr Shia belouf is not in the movie....YIPEE!! The direction of the film is suppose to be darker, more serious and slapstick humor we found in the 1st trilogy will be reduced by alot. Micheal Bay wants to reinvent the movie to take on a different story arc, as if there is a story arc in the 1st trilogy. Basically they will introduce new enamy, a human organisation that specialised in killing and stealing Transformers technology. (Called "Machination" in the comic or "M.E.C.H." in the cartoon) The cast of the actors include Mark Wahlberg, the guy who did and "The departed" and "Lone Survivor" and a handful of not so famous actors. It'll be noted that this film is heavily supported by Chinese companies and a bulk of the movie takes place in China and Hong Kong. If you ask me, even as a long-time Transformers Fan, I'm skeptical on this 4th installation, and I have little faith in Michael Bay, esp after he butchered the original cartoon/concept to make way of these ugly spiky robots that made to the 1st trilogy. I will still catch the movie, cos I'm a long-time TF fan and it just seems wrong for a fan not to watch every media thrown to him. But I will not queue up in front of the threaters just to catch it first.

Transformers 4 film will be called 'Age of Extinction' and might feature Dinobots 4 Sep 2013 14:00 Hold onto your tin hats and dust off your tiny model cars, Transformers 4 has an official title Micheal Bay, the Transformers' head honch Getty The fourth big screen Transformers movie will be called 'Age of Extinction' which, while not exactly ushering in images of humans and machines skipping gleefully through fields of daisies together, does at least suggest there will be lots of amazing CGI fighting. The official poster (the first of many) for the fourth Transformers film This title has got fans all in a flap over the possibility that the film will feature Dinobots, the robots that turned into dinosaurs and that were the toy to own in the 1980s. The Dinobot team: Grimlock: a T-Rex Sludge: a Brontosauryus Slag: a Triceratops (not sure you'd get away with that name nowadays) Snarl: a Stegosaurus Swoop: a Pterodactyl In an interview with Beijing news, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura said: "I can not disclose the specifics, but you can be sure that the arrival of the Dinobots will give the audience a lot to be excited about. The world's coolest, most exciting cars will appear in the film, including Chinese vehicles, so whether you are a car enthusiast or not, it will be a feast for the eyes." Sounds like a confirmation to us. According to Yahoo.com, Lorenzo's Chinese plug wasn't incidental. The site remarks that most Hollywood blockbusters have started taking Chinese audiences into account due to the potential for huge returns. They cite the movie Pacific Rim as an example - it made $100million at the Chinese box office, considerably more, ahem, than it made in the States. The film is being shot in both the US and China with Chinese singer/actor Han Geng making his English-language debut in the film. Mark Wahlberg will be taking over from Shia LaBeouf as the star of the film which, like all the others, is being directed by Michael Bay. Wahlberg will play a struggling inventor and single father to Tessa (Nicola Peltz) who is dating race car driver Shane (Jack Reynor). Kelsey Grammar is bad guy Harold Attinger who will star alongside Sophia Myles, Stanley Tucci, TJ Miller, Titus Welliver, Bingbing Li, Victoria Summer and the aforementioned Geng Han. The film is due to be released in the US on the 27 June 2014 with UK release date still to be confirmed. If you're a car fan, chances are you're somehow familiar with the 'Transformers' franchise. Now, within around a year to come, you may be waiting in line at the cinema to get your ticket for 'Transformers 4'. Yes, you heard it right. The latest sequel to the robot-transforming car movies is expected to arrive by June 2014. While most people are talking about Mark Wahlberg (remember him in 'Ted' or 'Broken City'?) replacing Shia LaBeouf as the main protagonist, what's more interesting to me is the addition of some new cars. It seems that director Michael Bay does have some quite serious taste for cars indeed. For Transformers 4, he'll be bringing a special edition Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse with a W16 quad-turbo engine. It's capable of spitting out 1,200bhp of power and 1,500Nm of torque in total. Well, that's not the only excitement, though. In addition to the Vitesse, the director will be bringing the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray as well. However, I suggest that you avoid trying to compare the Vitesse and Stingray side by side, especially in terms of price. It's out of the question that the Stingray's pricing is nowhere near the Vitesse. While you can get your hands on the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette C7 Stingray with US$50,000 (approximately S$63,000), you need at least US$2.4 million (approximately S$3 million) to drive home the Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. However, this 'Transformer' (the Stingray, supposedly an Autobot) does win when it comes to playing an American hero. From the land that brings us the Transformers cartoon series comes a new Japanese franchise with a similar concept. Called the Chō Soku Henkei Gyrozetter, the new franchise has licensed several Japanese hot performance vehicles such as the Toyota 86, Mazda RX-8, Nissan GT-R and Mitsubishi Evo. Created by Square Enix, the company behind the Final Fantasy video game franchise and Dragon Quest Series, Chō Soku Henkei Gyrozetter was first launched recently as an arcade game with an animated film version set to be released later this year. Will the new film be able to achieve the same success as the trend setter, Transformers? That reminds to be seen. We're gearing up for the release of Transformers 3, even though it won't be hitting the big screen until July 1, 2011. And while the second installment of the Transformers series didn't exactly thrill us with its storyline, there's no arguing that the awesome graphics made for a pretty decent summer blockbuster. But now, there's a new reason to get excited. At a Ferrari charity event this week, director Micheal Bay confirmed that the sexy, pulse-quickening 458 Italia will join the cast of Autobots. We can't wait to see Ferrari's new stunner put into action, especially along equally appealing co-star, Megan Fox. Hubba hubba.
