@Lala81 my advise is don’t buy...kids grow up very fast...you’d be buying bikes and matching racks...

Fit the one that can go into the boot and just go to the park and rent suitable ones from bike kiosk for the rest of your herd. Lower maintenance too

i stretched my purchase from 18” to rare size 22” and skipped the 20” upon heeded my frens advice...even that 22” didn’t last long before my two kids could ride my wife’s 24”.

I ever had 5 bikes of various sizes in my flat at one stage...Now 2 foldies and 2 MTB, all for myself and wife...children don’t ride anymore.

Err 2k bicycle vs my 130 dollar bicycle...

Just imagine on the bicycle level, my budget is only bezza level.

Haha.... the brompton craze is really getting out of hand.

In Jakarta, the well-off are buying bromptons from owners worldwide on the internet at crazy prices, much to the owners confusion and glee. It's becoming an undisputed status symbol.

My eldest is the eldest grandchild on both sides. It can be a hand me down. The reason I bought the 20" is for my son to move up to 16". Then he can pass his balance bike to his cousin etc etc and so forth. At least that's how I justify it.

We seldom go the major parks like ecp. Rack I'm not in a rush to get. I will just let them cycle around the estate.

Foldies definitely when the bikes get bigger. I probably don't see a reason to buy a bigger children's bicycle after this. Probably just a foldie if want to.

The problem was created by Brompton itself.

Previously, there are ample supply of Brompton in Singapore and Indonesia.

Cant enter MSCP. Cant mount bike in MSCP and drive out. Have to drive out, hope there is a lot in loading/unloading bay, hope saman auntie not around. Then run home get your bike. Run down and strap on the bike. If go to parks with height limit, got to unmount, throw bike one side and hope no one steal. Park car and go back to retrieve it. Then if wana go food court or built up areas for a meal after cycling, have to avoid places with MSCP.

Now my aleoca foldie become white elephant. Lazy to even bring out and unfold it. When I bring my daughter  out to cycle at ECP,  we use bike sharing. I trained her to use the adult bike, coz it's cheaper at $1 / 30mins.  For recreational rider who occasionally rides the popular PCN like ECP or the PCN waterway, I think no need to buy bike.
