That is why i don't put casing and screen protector to my phone. It's just a phone and i will only use 2 yrs max. Find it stupid to buy a nice phone and wrap it up like a dumpling.

Agree with it. No need phone casing, screen protector and what not.

After two years need to trade in anyway. As long as working condition, can already.

i admit that i have doubts that WP8 will take the world by a storm and capture a significant share of the smartphone market. However, this opinion of mine is irrelevant because i was considering options from Nokia's interests.

Nokia is as good as treading water now. If you have two flotation devices i.e. WP8 and Android, why wont you throw two at Nokia now?

maybe because google dont offer them good deal??

i think Microsoft is literately throwing thier own R&D result to them and they just intergrate ATM.

this is a cost saving method (dangerous too if microsoft pull the plug)

that kinda was the whole appeal with Apple products, innovative and pushing boundaries. We don't need something to wow our pants off, but at least something unexpected, exciting and not playing catch up. It sure looks pretty but... i want to see the Lumia 920 and it's pricing.

exactly, i dun even want them to have the slimmest phone (honestly slim phone not easy to handle!), design is ok (how much different can a phone to be?), just something that give a different user experience, could be a proprietary apps or function.

They need to go back to their dream table!

So, Apple actually takes good care of their extended team members?

so far so good. they pay on time. when we made a mistake during deployment of one of our apps, they assisted us to immediately rectify the issue ... they didnt have do, but they did it immediately. says a lot about the app review team ..

I don't buy that. They can probably build it such that existing apps can scale down on higher dpi screens if they wanted. But no, a high DPI screen will not "WOW" me either. Hard to please? no, the only thing i like about the iphone 5 is the design. Its everything we expected, nothing more. Not a bad thing but, it's why it's a "meh" for me.

I will still consider it cos i need a new phone, but it hasn't swayed me away from wanting to take a look at the Lumia which i was hoping it would.

bro, the scaling is the issue. you know people are *always* unsatisfied. the day the retina ipad came out, we got several 1 star reviews because people were complaining our app wasnt retina ready (no one was, since nobody knew the resolution, and we found out at the same time as the general public..) people really really hated the idea of scaling, so that really affected our sales for a while bro ..

the problem with migrating devices is stuff like smses which cant be moved ... i have smses from 2 years ago that i still keep (mainly work stuff to keep as record), so i guess im stuck in the ecosystem ... lol

you have to remember that apple has a mature ecosystem ... so if they wanted to do something radical, ie "super duper retina display", *all* the current apps may become incompatible (or may require emulation, smt like running iphone apps on an ipad with the 2X)

however, if they slowly introduce newer technologies, it gives everyone supporting their ecosystem time to catch up ... (hardware devs, accessories, software devs etc)

its already going to be a pain to port to the new reso ... so thankfully theyve given us enough lead time to fix whatever we need to do so ...

for me, apple was not really about technology cos whatever technology they had, it was already done by someone else. Apple always made something nice to use, look at and u just bought it, or should i say bought into it. tats y they say apple was like a cult- you don't need much of a reason to get it.

when Jobs was around at least, things tended to be less evolutionary. it tended to catch yr attention a bit more. Maybe he was the ultimate salesman, maybe he was the design guru. it's really different these days and whether it will continue working for Apple, we'll see.

I agreed with you on the scaling thingy. My wife & I play the same game on diff devise. Mine is on iphone & hers is on ipad. As the game was not optimised for ipad, it really looks crap on ipad.
