Imagine if the accident took place on a flyover or an elevated stretch of the expressway such as Benjamin Sheares Bridge? Immediate death. Think the long kang water cushion some impact. Caravan 5th Gear August 4, 2013 Share August 4, 2013 The most baffling judgement was the newspaper editor(Lim Hong Eng) who got only one day sentence and $2000 fine for killing a pillion rider. Witness say she run red light, using handphone, and did a hit and run. Judge even went to the extent to say his judgement should not be use as precedent for other cases. This takes the cake. Darryn Turbocharged August 5, 2013 Share August 5, 2013 drunk at 8am??? this one really hardcore drinker to the bone ... with casualty, dont thimk the sentences would be light Don't say so loud - it takes 12 hours to fully metabalise alcohol, so if finish drinking at 3 am, by rights should not drive until 3 pm. What many will do is sleep for 4 or 5 hours - wake up and feel "ok" but don't realise that still got much alcohol in system. What many will do is sleep for 4 or 5 hours - wake up and feel "ok" but don't realise that still got much alcohol in system. True, maybe the driver club till 4plus am, then scared caught by roadblock or drunk until don't know what is happening, by the time wake up is already morning and thought since already morning 7+am, and should be alright and thus drive home.
