Why not possible? I think it is.

6k a month.

1200 from the incentives - I heard you can get up to 300 per month of incentives. Used to be much higher but not anymore.

That leaves 4800 per month or about 1200 per week or 172 per day - not that much.

And If you take 6k a month salary, it isn't a lot since you'd have no CPF and AWS+yearly bonus. Assuming 1 month AWS and 1 month bonus and then CPF, 6k is equivalent to 4.4k. Pretty good if you're someone just starting out on your career but then, what are your career prospects after uber ends their incentive programs?

IMHO, Uber and grab is good for part timers and people temporarily out of job, looking for job. For long term, no prospect and alot of uncertainties.

I think it depends. For people like you and me, we say it doesn't have prospect. But what about folks who are right now destined to be a delivery man or cleaner?

They could potentially consider this for the longer term.

Use cash?! Lol.

Anyway, why people always say uber/grab no prospect? Even some people have become taxi driver for life le?

They will start to designate titles like "Uber Captain", just like bus drivers are now "Bus Captains"....

In Chinese news..., taxi drivers are addressed as "Taxi Sifu" although am not sure if "sifu" means subject matter expert in safe driving or reckless driving going by the way 70% of them drive.

:D

I think most need corrective actions... oooopsss I mean "improvement potential" for their driving skills and attitudes.

Nowadays still got AWS???? A genuine question, I have never been paid one despite working for 5 employers beofre

My experience as follows (not in running order):

1. SG GLC (internship) - yes got AWS. They also have a variable wage component which they will adjust according to the economy

2. American Coy: No AWS

3. Italian Coy - yes got AWS

4. China Coy: No AWS

5. SG GLC (attached there only so I heard from the people sitting around): They had AWS but cancelled it 3 years before I was there

6. Korean coy:Yes got AWS but they don't call it that. It is also more than 1 month.

I also know that govt still has AWS.

Let's see:

Drive 9 hours a day. Let's assume this means peak hour for maximum earnings. So morning 7-11am, and evening 5-10pm. Afternoon rest.

Let's say an average of about $30 an hour (give or take), that's $270 a day in earnings.

Five weekdays, $270 x 5 = $1,350

Let's say she works weekends also, consistently 9 hours at about $20 an hour. That's $180 x 2 days = $360.

Weekly earnings therefore is $1,350 + $360 = $1,710

Four weeks equates to $1,710 x 4 = $6,840.

(Remember, this is pure earnings. Haven't count incentives yet)

Give her about $800+ for petrol and other expenses, then yeah, seems possible.

But driving 9 hours a day is no joke, as any taxi driver can tell you. It does take a toll on your body long term.

its still considered viable as a part time.  Those delivery or cleaners should do their full time job, and drive uber/grab as part time.  Best balance between earning extra $ and job security.
