RadX Moderator December 20, 2016 Share December 20, 2016 Then by that rationale those people running around at night without the lights on also can be forgiven since it is so bright everywhere.....? The main purpose is to have an always on low intensity non-glare light markers at the 4 corners of the car so that even in the event that the driver forgot to switch on the main lights, his car can still be reasonably visible on the road. inlinesix Hypersonic December 20, 2016 Share December 20, 2016 This point of view now does have some merit. I just went to Perth for about 2 weeks. Rented a car and touched down mid-afternoon went to pick up car. By the time going to set off, around 5.30 pm already, and our destination was a good almost 3 hr away in Bunbury... Almost halfway into the journey, sky suddenly turned pitch dark, and there's no street light even on their Freeway. I had driven a few times in NSH under same condition and this is 2nd trip to Aussie, but it's been a while so was still quite not used to is. Really appreciated our SGP everywhere got streetlight at that point in time... when had to go above 100 km/h and there's only headlights and the reflector and lane markings on the roads... In comparison, here so bright, confirm can see the roads. It's just that worry cannot see the moving cars without headlights. We have too many street lights that resulted in light pollution. In the sea of vehicles with a pair of white headlights and a pair of red glowing tail-lights each, the one special one that forgot to switch on it's light is going to be relatively harder to spot.. Even with our super bright street lights. It is all about relativity.
Kangadrool Supersonic December 20, 2016 Share December 20, 2016 (edited) And people keep asking changing from yellow to white headlights. Want front and rear lights ON day time, switch on the "small" light, night time switch on the "BIG" light. In case Singapore snow, fogged up or total lights off, toggle your HIGH beams. The day Singapore snow, people will be rushing to change to yellow lights and will keep asking here what yellow bulbs to change. Even with our super bright street lights. It is all about relativity. ha ha... yes, agree on relativity. If everyone is expecting all moving vehicles got lights, then got one (esp. dark coloured one) doesn't have, it'll be damned hard to spot - quite different if all cars no light so the alertness is up. And don't misunderstand, i'm not pushing to off headlight here now. Just that - exactly based on relativity - to compare SGP and Aust when it's still fresh, down there is cannot don't on lights (one wonders if bulb blows, how dangerous it is...); while here it's at least conceivable. Steptronic Supercharged December 28, 2023 Share December 28, 2023 Some drivers follow "Go green" literally everywhere. Was behind a Honda for about 3 kms today morning. Few left and right turns and few lane changes. Never ever used Indicator - not even once 😑

Beregond Supersonic December 28, 2023 Share December 28, 2023 More like blur driver . Some are so used to the auto function. It didn't cross their mind to switch on the light manually. U suddenly ask them switch on light. They will ka lang ka bo. Trust me. Happen right before my eyes before. Or they will say every time I didn't on. It auto 1. Cannot touch🤷

Think many don’t turn on headlights because they don’t know their headlights is not on due to cars now the dashboard area lights is on day and night. 😂 Unless they set the headlights to auto then no need worry no turn on liao. ↡ Advertisement 1
