IMO, it's a reality. This may not happened to us but may happen to our children, children children. Had our gahment find out why ppl migrate to overseas n work. No one would want to be a 2nd class citizen in other countries. Yes, there are some who felt Spore is too stressful or not democratic enough. But there are some due to bopiancy got to move overseas becos of survival. I once met a Sporean couple with 2 kids, many years back while holidaying in Canada. This family stay in USA. The husband told me he had to move to USA becos with his qualification n skill, there is no industry for him. He is in d aircraft industries. He told me his parents n siblings are in Spore n he ever longing to move to Spore. Not sure about now. May be a taxi driver now. Lol.

Ya...quite sad...but i also know of many examples who migrated to for e.g. australia and refused to come back because of the lesser stress despite being 2nd or 3rd class citizens there.

Some recent quotes. Self importance or really a vital peg is subjective……..

Someone who is retiring from politics:

"Seven terms, 31 years, is a very long time. I think the only one left from my term is Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and before us Mr Goh Chok Tong.

"I've walked through this long journey, more than three-quarters of my working life," he said. "Don't you think I deserve a rest?"

One who is gunning to stick around:

Reflecting on his role in the national leadership transition, Mr Goh, 74, pointed out that he is the "only Pioneer Generation leader left in politics". He first entered politics in 1976.

"Will I be running in the next election after this? I want the option to retire and hopefully Chuan-Jin will give me to option to," he said. "But if I am asked to do my national duty, I will.

PAP is very the good, i confirm vote for them! :D

Yeah. They are very good at denial. They also lack courage to step out and acknowledge that they do not have all the solutions to all the problems Singapore is facing. They are not that talented and elite after all. They are just human beings. And as human beings they should also listen to other human beings as well.

If all the ppl think that the only way to have their voice heard is thru the opposition parties they will be in hot soup. It's time to stop and listen.

So despite all the recent work done, your conclusion is that they refuse to listen and acknowledge their mistakes and change?

I find the government has made some very bad policies that are half baked and not well thought of, like the 50% downpayment for cars. It was to discourage car ownership but they don't enforce it. This policy doesn't achieve its objective, because people still can borrow high loan from used car dealers, but the result is that it caused hardship to the poor because used car depreciation is higher than new car. It is the rich who benefit form this because there are less competition for the coe. I can name a few other policies also like that. This shows they are not well planned and also they are detached from the reality that is on the ground. This shows the ministers simply cannot make it.

They give the impression that only they have the solutions but do they? They also like to do selective listening or rather they only listen to what they think is right. Like the AHPETC issue the WP had already answered their questions but they just chose not to accept it and keep asking over and over again. How much do you think they will listen to the ppl? Nobody knows. They always say they are trying to strike a balance to the issue. I thought they will always decide on doing what's best for the ppl? So what's the best for the ppl...really? Nobody knows. Do you know?

I wish I can come to a conclusion but dan I realised I hardly know anything. How ah?

Do you know what the three unaccounted items are in the report to conclude if these are serious breaches? I admit I dunno and I don't judge WP negatively because of it. You know?

this one how to blame the policy maker ?? policymaker make it hard but the buyer want to buy .... nobody force anybody to buy what ...

blame the player, not the game.
