I bought a Moto S30 Pro 12/256GB some months back and I'm quite happy with it. The Edge is the same or similar series to S30 so specs-wise for me was the most suitable at the price.

The only main issue I have is Notifications but I think this is more down to the AI of Android 12 than that of the Motorola/Lenovo OS.

Think this moto g stylus (2022) would be a good alternative for those wanting a big screen with stylus, but not willing to spend on flagship s22/23 ultra.

iirc, honor no longer under huawei. so e ban on huawei not applicable to honor.

Huawei sold of Honor already in Nov 2020. Those who use Huawei series of phone before the trade war, will have familiarity on honor phone UI and app. Down side is Honor exit SG market, only up north have Honor service center. Not sure in the near future Honor will come back to SG market or not.
Google play can be installed on the phone. Not sure international version will have google play come preinstalled.

Low to mid range can play lah. Flagship 1k+ phone how many people will buy without warranty. Screen crack can't even replace easily. 

Xiaomi doesn't even sell flagship here. And it's by far the most popular Chinese brand worldwide. 

The people who buy Chinese higher end have to use PI to get. Other than vivo and oppo.

impulse purchase. my wife asked me what phone is good now and i recommend this to her for novelty factor. Went down to the shop and see and i preorder one for myself also. 😅

Even though many say color os = oxygen os, they are still abit different from my OP albeit mine is oxygen os 11 and this is color os 13.

Update on my purchase after playing with it for a few days.  Works with my Zero1 sim and Geekbench benchmark wise the Dimensity 1050 is close to my LG V50's SD855.  The Moto gestures are quite useful. Good buy for me at $300 as it competes well with midrange models like Samsung a53.  Now Amazon price is at $500+ so probably not so attractive, but if can get at good promo again whoever interested can give it a try.

Foldables are more delicate than the traditional slab phones coz of soft screen. So it kinda changed the ways I use phone now.

Software wise I think not too bad. Comparable with the recent op phones which I think is one of the best. My 4 year old op 7t seldom hangs even till today. I hope this oppo will be the same but I doubt that foldables will be as hardy as slab phones.

But while looking through the phone shop website, think I found something which is pretty good value. Export sets OnePlus 10 pro 256gb which is last years flagship. Its not the best flagship for sure but for 700+ dollars and 1 month warranty, can take the chance. 

Its very similar to the x5pro but with a slightly lousier camera setup.

For the specs and 1 year old phone, methinks really good value at $678 for US set OP10 Pro 12GB/256GB. For cheaper can even get China sets flash global rom at $619 but not sure how reliable compared to global set.

Be careful of taking a re-flashed unit.

I bought a "Global ROM" Motorolla but turns out they flashed it, leaving the Bootloader open. With this, Singpass didn't work. I ended up going into live assist with the technician in China to reset everything to China ROM and now everything works, except And.Auto but that is more likely my fault when I reinstalled Google.

Other than that, phone is great. Should have just ordered the China version first 😏
